Chapter 3: The very first Pokebattle!
Chapter 3: The very first Pokebattle!
All of a sudden, Gary shows up, and is pissed to see the guy who's been boning his little sister. He realizes why Ash is there, and tells him that he's going to be a better Pokemon Trainer then Ash will ever be. Gary then tells Ash that he's going to be a much better trainer than he will ever be, and Oak tells Ash that he's decided to let Gary take one of his Pokemon, and Gary announces that he's going to kill you. He grabs a Pokeball, containing Squirtle, and challenges Ash, bringing Squirtle out as the battle screen opens.
Finally, your first Pokebattle!
Gary brings Squirtle out, and he lets you command the first blow. You choose to select attack, and then choose Ember...wait! You can't choose Ember? Oak just used it, didn't he. Text with Oak shows up, with him telling Ash that he used a weak version of a TM that lets him use it only once. He'll have to train him some more to get Charmander to learn Ember naturally. You're fine with it, just hoping that Squirtle isn't able to use Water Cannon once.
You use Growl instead, hoping that it's as effective as it was in the original Red. It seems to be, as Gary uses tackle, doing very little damage to you. You then tell Charmander to scratch him, somehow doing a critical hit, taking down a good 1/3 of Squirtle's HP. Gary shouts "What the fuck?!!!" and looks as though he's about to kill you with his bare hands. He calms down, realizing that he has to pull off his suspected weapon, and hits Ash's Charmander with Water Gun, taking down over half your Charmanders HP. There's only one thing you can hope for at this point, which is 1 more crit.
Squirtle tackles you again for very minimal damage, but enough to bring you down to 1/3 of your HP, you scratch him, bringing him down to 1/3 of his HP. He tackles you again, bringing you down to 1 HP. Now you either score a crit, or you lose! Needless to say, you do, and Squirtle goes down, falling unconscious to all the damage your Charmander have done to it.
Gary is super pissed, but at the same time, scared out of his mind. Oak then tells Ash that according to the Pokebattle code of honor, when a trainer loses, they must grant them one wish, or give up their Pokemon Trainer license. Oak asks that he show mercy on Gary, and Ash nods. Gary tells him that he'll make it double or nothing, next time.
Gary grabs something off of Oak's desk and storms off. Oak then hands Ash another copy of what Gary took. Oak tells him Ash that this is a Pokedex, of a special type. He tells him that it not only identifies Pokemon, but can secretly see woman it scans over naked via the view screen. He tells him that a lot of people will want to kill him over it, and if you lose a battle to them, they will kill you for it. In other words, with the Pokedex, Ash's world is going to be very much so a kill or be killed lifestyle with many male trainers. He tells him that it's very important to respect the Pokebattle code of honor, as 90% of the registered Pokemon Trainers have admitted through anonymous polls that they would rather die than break it. Without it, the Pokebattles would mean very little. However, you are going towards something greater than being the best. You are trying to get your main fuck buddy back! He also tells Ash that on your way, as a Pokemon trainer you will have tons of chances to have a lot of FUN, in many different ways, and that you should take advantage of these situations.
Oak then hands Ash a package, which he tells him is a stack of old Nudie mags. He tells Ash that he doesn't need them anymore, and doesn't know why they were sent to him in the first place, but they've been in the package for years. Oak tells Ash that if he will give it to the Pokemon Market merchant in a town to the north, he will be rewarded somehow. Ash nods, and you go home to rest, aka heal your Pokemon, and head back to May to tell her of your plan.

Man these last 2 chapters have really been a lot of fun to write. Hope that you, the reader enjoyed reading them as well. As of right now, I'm unsure when the next chapter will be put in, but when I get an idea, I'll post it in the intro topic.
