A Dangerous Game
Chapter Four- Caress
“BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!” Ciel rolled his eyes in exasperation. Were it not for the Undertaker’s valuable information, he’d have been entirely insufferable. The bizarre man chuckled helplessly at the stupid joke Sebastian had told. Ciel didn’t see what was so funny about it at all. What in the hell did a spoon have anything to do with a prostitute, anyway? He hoped his face wasn‘t still cherry red. Sebastian still had a distinct, handprint shaped mark on the side of his face, marring the flawless ivory skin. Undertaker mercifully said nothing on the subject. “Oh supreme joy of life. Come this way, we have some very interesting guests,” he gestured to them. The pair followed him into a basement room with barren concrete floors and walls. Only one wall had several cabinets in it. Ciel knew this was where bodies were kept while waiting for a funeral. “All closed casket services, these,” the Undertaker chuckled. “Beauties.”
He set about opening three drawers. “The others were already laid to rest. I have these three left.” He pulled off the clean white sheet covering them. Ciel leaned closer. They looked like ordinary men, except for the severe beatings and garish needle streaks in their arms. They’d fought like mad, judging by the angry red bloodlines in their skin the needle had made.
Sebastian flipped through the file folder. “So these men are Jonathan Wiggington, Daniel Redding, and James Torino. Look here, my Lord. Many of these bruises are not recent.”
“Yes, according to the file they were all pretty violent characters and had many enemies. But other than their recent association with Lau and their new choice in a career, they had nothing in common and no outstanding characteristics,” The young Earl mused. “Perhaps someone with a grudge against the destructive effects of opium and heroin. That would set up a motive.”
“That would be the only reasonable motive,” Sebastian agreed. “Especially since these men weren’t even robbed.” He tilted his head slightly, craning his neck to look at something. One of the men had a gold ring on his finger.
“They were also carrying various amounts of drugs on their person, correct, Undertaker?” Ciel asked.
“That’s right, Lord Phantomhive,” the strange man wheezed. Ciel thought for a moment as he looked closer at the needle marks.
“We can’t figure out anything more here. Sebastian, let’s go find Lau,” And with that he left the room with a sweep of his cloak.
“Yes, my Lord,” Sebastian bowed. As he turned to leave Undertaker spoke.
“What happened to your face, Mister Sebastian?”
The demon smirked. “I was disobedient, so I was reprimanded.”
“What exactly were you doing to be disobedient?” Judging by the tone in Undertaker’s voice and the sly grin he wore, he knew exactly what had happened. “Might want to be careful. A pretty demon might get more than he expects when fooling around with a pretty Earl.”
Sebastian chuckled out loud. “You’re giving me advice on practicality? Please.” And he strode out, leaving the unusual Reaper to his strangeness.
*mini-flashback*
SMACK! Sebastian had expected that. He pulled away, face stinging. Ciel was livid, his face bright pink. It was unbearably cute. The hand that had struck him was shaking. That was worth any small amount of physical pain that the blow had brought him. That, and of course the kiss that he’d been able to enjoy. The Earl stuttered, apparently unable to come up with a severe enough reprimand for his demonic butler.
“My apologies, my Lord. It seems I was too bold,” Sebastian said coolly, his eyes half lidded in carelessness. He wasn’t the least bit sorry and Ciel knew it.
“You’re lucky bullets don’t hurt you,” Ciel dared to threaten.
Sebastian decided to try for a more bold approach. The young Phantomhive’s English propriety would be hard to shake otherwise. “Was it not enjoyable? Humans usually find such activities pleasant.”
“W-with other humans!” Ciel spluttered, unable to believe what he was hearing. “Not with their immortal demonic servants! And most certainly not with those below their station! You are my butler,” the blue eyed man said, hissing the last word as if the very mention of a kiss between an Earl and his butler were scandalous.
Sebastian couldn’t help but snicker. “You act as if the fact that I’m your butler is worse than the fact that I’m not human. I’m surprised you have yet to mention the fact that we’re both males.”
Ciel blushed furiously. Sebastian had him in a trap and he knew it. He’d never been particularly attracted to anyone except Sebastian. He wasn’t quite sure if that made him homosexual or just ‘demonsexual‘, if there was such a notion. “If you have something to say, spit it out,” it seemed like he was saying this a lot lately.
“I’m simply saying you shouldn’t so quickly throw away such an opportunity,” Sebastian’s eyes glowed pink as he purred. This time it wasn’t just Ciel’s face that felt hot, but rather his whole body.
The carriage stopped. Ciel was out of it so fast Sebastian had to do a double take to make sure that the young Earl hadn’t sprouted wings. He got out of the carriage calmly, thinking to himself, Not much longer, my Lord. You won’t be able to resist me. Then we’ll see who is really in control.
*End Flashback*
Not a word passed between the two on the way to Lau’s shady home. It didn’t bother Sebastian in the slightest. He knew the silence was the perfect opportunity for Ciel to brood on what he’d said. And he knew, would have staked his own soul on it, that the blue eyed beauty would be his very soon.
As the houses got shabbier and the people walking got more suspicious and mean looking, they approached a small, unobtrusive looking building with an even smaller wooden door in it. To an outsider it would look like just an unmarked building but to those who needed Lau’s services (mostly his drugs) knew it to be a safe place for all breeds of degeneracy.
The Earl hated coming here. Every time he walked in he left feeling slightly dizzy from the opium floating around in the air, and Lau’s blatant disregard for any kind of subtlety infuriated and annoyed him. Not a single time had he ever seen Lau without Ran Mao draped over him, breasts pressed against him as he smoked opium from a pipe, his pupils dilated and eyes half closed. And more often than that, Ran Mao wasn’t the only one with him. He had no end of girls, it seemed.
Ciel was out of the carriage before it had even stopped moving this time. Sebastian followed easily, and they made their way down into the basements, passing through what looked like an empty shell of a grocery store, perfectly normal seeming to a passerby. On traversing the spiral staircase, however, a strange smell began to permeate the air. From below there came the sounds of laughter and talking. Ciel heard both English and Chinese.
And as usual Lau looked completely unsurprised to see him. No doubt he’d been informed of the Earl’s coming almost as soon as Ciel had spoken the decision out loud. “Ah, Earl, always a pleasure to see you on my side of the city,” he sprawled on a couch, for once not having Ran Mao hanging over him. This time he was lying sideways with a pipe and was holding it over a small fire, inhaling the vaporized drug slowly. As soon as he was done he picked up a small, black looking pebble and put it in the bowl. Then he held it for an English prostitute who was waiting her turn. He turned it slowly so she could inhale all of it.
felt slightly disgusted. Sebastian was only wondering curiously what Ciel would be like on the drug. Would he finally let down that all but impervious guard of his? “Spare me, Lau. What do you know?”
“About what?” Lau inquired without hesitation.
Ciel resisted the urge to smack himself in the forehead from exasperation. “A string of drug related killings. You’re their only common link.” Ciel tossed Lau the folder. Lau caught it easily and sat up to peruse its contents.
“What a tragedy,” he clicked his tongue against his teeth in false concern. “And what a coincidence that they all worked for me.”
“They all worked for you?” Sebastian echoed, to confirm what they'd originally thought.
“Of course. If anyone sells drugs in this town it’s not without my knowing. They were new recruits. The usual nameless nobodies. They‘d been in my service less than a month.”
“Do you know who they sold to?” the Phantomhive asked eagerly.
“No, but I’ll find out.,” Lau assured. “For now, go home and rest. Prepare for your wedding. I’ll drop by when I have something.”
“Good. I’ll take my leave then. Come, Sebastian. ” The demon had to bite back the retort that had popped in his mind when Ciel told him to come. He had to admit that this was getting to him as well. He couldn’t get the image of Ciel, naked and writhing at his every touch with stormcloud eyes half lidded in passion, out of his mind.
“Farewell, Earl,” Lau waved foppishly as a grin plastered itself on his face, the drug now quite in his system.
“Nothing more to do now but wait. These men had no families or previous acquaintances, not any that would give us any useful information, anyway,” Ciel sighed as they exited the building. Sure enough, he felt lightheaded and his body was strangely tingly. Sebastian noted with more than a passing interest the way Ciel swayed as he walked. His cane did nothing to help him.
The whole way home Ciel was staring out the window, blinking slowly and not speaking. “Should I make some tea when we get in?” Sebastian asked.
“What time is it?” the young Earl responded with another question.
Sebastian checked his watch and was surprised to see it was already four o clock. He relayed the time to Ciel, who nodded distractedly. “I’ll have to see to dinner once we get back to the manor,” the demon said, ever faithful to his duties as a butler.
“I think I’ll lie down,” Ciel decided. “Damn Lau and his drugs.” This last sentence he muttered in an undertone.
“My Lord?” Naturally Sebastian had heard every word but he asked anyway.
“Nothing. Just get us home, I’m tired.”
Sebastian moved over to the other side of the carriage. Ciel eyed him suspiciously. But Sebastian only looked at Ciel’s face with concern. “You shouldn’t be exposed to such poisons, my Lord,” the demons said, and felt Ciel‘s forehead. “That substance isn’t good for humans.”
“Tell Lau that,” Ciel groaned, in full agreement. “But of course he won’t listen, it’s far too profitable for him.”
“The root of all evil,” Sebastian commented with a smirk. “I…do know an expedient way to lessen the effects,” he said, feigning hesitation. Ciel snorted, not understanding the reference.
“Coffee and a shot of whiskey?”
Sebastian laughed outright. “No, that would make it worse. I was referring to adrenaline…” the demon added, dragging a gloved hand up Ciel’s thigh. Ciel glared at Sebastian dangerously but the demon wasn’t about to stop now. Sebastian’s bloodred eyes held the young Earl’s gaze relentlessly. “Am I overstepping my bounds now, my Lord?”
Poor Ciel couldn’t find the words to answer, because Sebastian had wickedly slipped his fingers in the Earl’s pants. He knew his face must have been bright red but it felt too good to argue. He felt the smooth silk of Sebastian’s glove against his growing length, just gently teasing and caressing. He gripped the cushioned seat of the carriage tightly in both hands, heart pounding, electric shocks of pleasure rushing up and down his spine.
Sebastian removed his hand. Ciel was shocked to find his mouth opening to protest, but the demon was only pulling off the glove with his teeth, then he was back to his ministrations. This time he tightened his grip around Ciel’s erection and worked him mercilessly. Ciel cried out in shock and Sebastian felt a kind of heat he hadn’t felt in many years gathering between his legs.
“Se-Sebastian!” Sebastian hadn’t taken his bloodred eyes off of Ciel’s face for a second.
“Yes, my Lord?” he whispered seductively. “Do you wish for me to stop?”
“No…” Ciel groaned. Some small part of him was unbelievably pissed that Sebastian had him in this position, but that part was quickly shoved down behind erratic, gasping breaths and the sight of Sebastian’s dark red eyes clouded over in lust. Drops of pre-cum formed on the head of his erection and Sebastian promptly used them to lubricated his fingers. It didn’t take long for the slick wet pleasure to drive Ciel over the edge and he came hard with a loud cry.
In the fuzzy haze of the afterglow he saw Sebastian licking the cum off his fingers, making sure that the Earl saw him do it. Ciel slumped against the seat. He could only think of one thing to say. “Sebastian?”
“Yes, my Lord?”
“How in the hell am I going to get in the house with my pants looking like this?”
