Chapter 4: A revival of the children, a surprise birthday party, a trip to the Distortion Realm, and the Black Wonder Key!

After Kelula's battle with Forrest, and the subsequent earning of her Boulder Badge, the group goes to the Pokemon Center to celebrate her victory. As the victory party went on, Paul and Lucas go to Fujin Toys' website on one of the computers, to see if anything new comes up on the news bulletin.

It has been announced that a new Wonder Key-compatible toy line called "Wind-Up Warriors" will be released later this year. Also announced on the news bulletin of the site, is the theft of an experimental Wonder Key that was locked up, due to the danger it would pose in the wrong hands. It was an ebony-colored Key with a sinister appearance to it. An interpol agent has been assigned to track down the thief and retrieve the stolen Wonder Key, because any PokeToy that is wound up with it would not only be very powerful, but also much, much bigger, too.

Also at the lobby, N was thinking a lot about getting a girl of his own someday. The green-haired youth decided to go outside to go for a walk near the Center, and not go too far, due to the all-too-real threat that Ghetsis and his minions posed. He went back inside that evening, to go to bed. N laid down on his bed, and suddenly saw a shooting star and made a wish, "Oh, a shooting star. I wish to have a girl of my own, to care for, and to love. Please, grant my wish." Unbeknownst to him, Jirachi, the Wish Pokemon was within earshot and said with a smile, "Wish granted.", as he went back to the other legendaries, who waited for him to come, so they can plan a surprise birthday party for Arceus.

That very night, N's wish was about to come true. Meanwhile in the distant past during the final month of WWII at Auschiwitz-Birkaneu, a brown haired, Jewish woman, 18 years old, is in tears and suffering. She was one of the last few survivors of the concentration camp, and now she has escaped. She is extremely emaciated with no body fat. Her body is completely covered in deep, bleeding lacerations, 2nd degree burns, and bruises. All of her ribs are broken, along with the lower part of her right leg which hurts, as she ran barefoot in the cold snow, causing her feet to grow numb and nearly frostbitten. She is also nude, and is freezing. She fears males, and many other things that she went through in her past. Her abdomen is slightly swollen and inflamed due to infection. She also has letters and numbers tattoed painfully on her left forearm which reads: J6401902. She prayed silently with desperation, and pleading as the SS soldiers closed in on her, "God, please...save me! I don't want to die!" Just when hope for her seemed lost, a blue portal opened revealing Cora, a female Dialga who is one of Arceus' mates. She is also heavily pregnant with her abdomen distended and swollen, with her unborn child.

The SS Soldiers aimed their guns at Cora, but were annihilated with a powerful Hyper Beam. After ridding of the soldiers, Cora went over to the over to the woman, who is shivering from the cold and in fright. Her body is pale from the loss of blood and from hypothermia. The she-Dialga quickly took her back to the future to get her immediate medical attention.

The two reappeared at the present day, in front of the Pokemon Center that the group are at. Cora rushed the woman inside the lobby to see Nurse Joy who is accompanied by Dr. Thalberg and his Meganium, who decided to travel with Lucas and the group to help as a doctor. Recently, he is also into Pokemon Medicine so he could work with both Humans and Pokemon alike. He looked her over, assessing the damage, as he asks Cora, "Where did you find her?"

"I saved her from some Nazis in the WWII time period", she replied as Dr. Thalberg immediately took the woman to the emergency room for immediate medical attention, as her condition is critical. Hours ticked by, and by mid-morning, the surgery is finished, and the woman was taken to the Recovery room. The group went to the room to check on the Jewish woman who was recently rescued. She is hooked to an ECG and IV fluid drip bags to administer fluids for dehydration. She also has bandages wrapped all over her wounds, which are stained with dried blood. Her right leg has a cast on it. Warm blankets were put around her body to warm her up. N went to her bedside along with the rest of the group. The Jewish woman began to wake up, and let out a pained whimper, and realized that there are males in the room, to which she whimpered more fearfully.

N puts his arms around her reassuringly, to calm her down. She calmed, as she softly sobbed and buried her head into N's chest.

"There, there, it'll be alright", soothed N as he gently ran his fingers through her hair.

She felt soothed by N's gentle strokes through her hair, and fell back asleep with a gentle smile, as N stayed by her. Later that day, Star needed to bring hers and Arceus' children back to life, and knew that the suprise birthday is scheduled tomorrow at the Pewter City Church of the Religous Triad. Star then flew off towards Lost Tower in Sinnoh. After about a an hour, which by now is nearing dusk as the suns started setting, she made it to the Lost Tower where her children that were killed the year before are buried. She landed near the graves that her children are buried.

Star stepped back and focused her power, and then shouted to the heavens in a commanding voice, "Spirits of my children, return to the world of the living from the Distortion World, and let your bodies become fleshed. Return to your bodies, and Live Again!" Then, a pillar of light shot down on the graves as the bodies of Alpha, Comet, Meteor, and Tempra are restored, fully-fleshed. At first there was silence as they woke up with gasps, taking in their first breaths of life into their lungs. The four children all are emaciated and don't have any fur on them. Not only that, due to their nervous systems not being fully functional yet, they will have to relearn how to walk and many other simple tasks again. The four are shivering, due to the fact that they are unable to regulate their body temperatures. Comet tried to talk but could only let out a pained squeak.

She immediately teleported herself, and the children to the hospital for medical attention. Moments later, they reappeared back inside the Pewter City Pokemon Center.

Meanwhile, in the downtown area, we see Looker chasing after young man holding what appears to be a Wonder Key. The man that the interpol agent is pursuing is the thief who stole the prototype Wonder Key from Fujin Toys.

"Hey, get back here! Croagunk, after him!", Looker yelled as he and his Croagunk chased the thief into an alley, finally cornering him as police officers also closed in on the thief. But...! The thief isn't willing to go down without a fight, as he pulled out a PokeToy of a shiny Dragonite, before proceeding to wind it up with the stolen Black Wonder Key. The PokeToy grew bigger and bigger with each wind, until it became as big as a five-year old child. "Destroy them!", ordered the thief to the PokeToy, as it then fired a Draco Meteor attack.

Back with Star, we see her waiting for her children to come out of the emergency room. After that, they were taken to her bedroom and are laid down beside her. Meteor squeaked weakly, "M-mother? Where are we?"

Star replied with a gentle smile, "Why we are at the Pewter City Pokemon Center, my son.", at which Meteor groaned, "Ugh, I could've sworn we were in the Distortion Realm, pondering on how we got our butts sacrificed by Reaper."

The she-Arceus replied, "I have resurrected you, along with Alpha, Comet, and Tempra.", at which Meteor started letting out tears of joy. Star nuzzled her son lovingly as they fell asleep.

Next morning, Arceus woke up, and realized the that no one is in the room and saw arrows pointing to different directions. Arceus got up and followed them, until he came to the entrance of the Pewter City Religous Triad Church, which has a symbol that is a Star of David with a cross at the center, and two half cross wheels around it. Not only that, there is Dialga on the left, Palkia on the right, Giratina in Origin Forme on the top, with the Lake Guardians on the points of the star, relative to the location of their lakes, engraved in stone at the top of the entrance.

Arceus went inside, and was surprised when the lights went on, with everyone shouting "Happy Birthday!". The Original One himself was humbled that everyone is actually throwing him a birthday party. Sweetening the deal further, is that he is told that for the occasion, Star has resurrected their children. Not only that, but there is also a citrus-and-oran berry-flavored birthday cake, and among the presents he's gotten, there is also a transmitter for when Arceus gets kidnapped, he would contact his fellow legendaries using it.

"Many thanks, everyone", started Arceus happily, "You are the best."

After the party, everyone went back to the Pokemon Center to rest a while, before Arceus decided to show Meila and her family, Kelula and her family, Seraphina, Lilly, and the new rivals they befriended something amazing. Lucas, Ash, Dawn, Paul, and the rest of the group went to the Distortion Realm with the others. Arceus opened an indigo portal, which leads to that world opposite of the real world. As they entered, they found themselves in the Distortion Realm. The Distortion World is filled with islands, rivers of water that flow in every direction, pillars of ice, platforms with buildings that are upright and upside down, twisting pathways that go in all directions, along with gravity that is weaker and stronger.

Jenny gasps in delight, "Oh my gosh, we're in the Distortion Realm! Eeeee~!"

Amir remarks to his sister, "This place is so strange, Meila."

Meila nodded with agreement, as they carefully walked forward and are met with Giratina III, who is in his Origin Forme. Giratina is twice the size of a normal Giratina, as he is 28 feet tall in his Altered Forme, and 46 feet long in his Origin Forme.

"Greetings", he started, "What brings you here to the Distortion Realm?"

Arceus replies, "Well, I am taking them on a tour here."

"Okay," The Antimatter God replies before saying, "You know, me, Dialga, and Palkia have talked about the possibility of traveling with you, and live at the Hall of Origin, but there is a problem. Someone will need to stay in the three dimensions of Time, Space, and Distortion, but I'm not sure if there are others of our kind out there, to stay in those dimensions. It's just that, you know that Aqua is pregnant, and I would be happy to see my biological father be reborn."

The Original One replies, "Don't worry, I am sure we can find someone to take your positions while you life at the Hall of Origin."

"Thank you Arceus. Well, I will come with you along with my mate, Opal.", The Antimatter God replies as he and Opal goes with Arceus back to the Real World. After arriving back to the Pokemon Center, they are met with Dialga, Tempress, Palkia, and Paru, who waited for everyone. By now, it is evening and everyone went to sleep. That night though, the Jewish woman, Katriel, who has feelings for N, is having horrific nightmares of what she went through in her past. She whimpered and cried, until she woke up screaming bloody murder in fear, now shaking in fear and pupils dialated. She is now drenched in cold sweat, and her body paled in horror, her heart raced and she breathed rapidly. The darkness didn't help either, as she screamed even more, wetting herself.

N heard her screams, and quickly turned on the lights in her room. He then puts his arms around her, and holds her close, while gently stroking her hair soothingly, as she cried softly. "Thank you, Mr.-", started Katriel, when she blushed in embarrassment, realizing that she didn't get his name, when N finished for her, "It's N."

Katriel nodded in understanding as she leaned into his chest, feeling much safer around him. She soon fell asleep, and N decided to sleep with her, to keep her safe after turning off the lights. Next morning, Seraphina and Lilly went to the Pewter City Gym to earn their gym badges. At the same time, the remaining spirits, who are waiting on their chosen mothers who have not mated, to do so, are outside, enjoying the weather. They decided to start a conversation about what their next lives would be like. At this time, Blackfire and Vector are enjoying the clear weather as they laid down on the morning grass. Blackfire is heavily pregnant like Star and is due to go into labor in about two months time. Later that day, Lucas, Seraphina, and Lilly returned, with the latter two successful in their Gym Battles, and now the group including Arceus, Star, Cora, Aqua, Shyla, the Creation Trio and their mates, Dr. Thalberg, and Katriel, who was given clothes to wear, but she rode on Arceus' back so she would not have to worry about walking. Star decided to carry her children since they have not re-learned how to walk yet. Before heading to Mt. Moon however, they are met with Looker.

"Hello again, Mr. Looker", greets Meila politely with a bow, "What brings you here?"

He replied, "Hello there. We've managed to capture the person who stole the Black Wonder Key, but my superiors said not to return the Key to Fujin Toys yet."

Paul asks, "Why not?", to which he replied, "Because the vault used to hold the Black Wonder Key was severely damaged on the night it was stolen, so they're trying to get a new one. Until then, my superiors said to find someone trustworthy enough who can hold onto the Black Wonder Key until Fujin Toys got their new vault."

Arceus replies, "We will make sure it stays safe."

"Thank you, Arceus. Now, there are more pressing matters that needed mentioning. I'm sure you know of Team Rocket, who are up to something big concerning you, so please, be careful. I don't know what they are planning though, but it's not good. Not only that, I have recieved reports that a man named Ghetsis has been sighted here in Kanto, along with the rest of the Seven Sages of Team Plasma. I have also heard rumors that they are holding four legendaries captive, and are planning to capture you, Arceus. Now, I must go.", Looker replies as he dashes off with such speed that it would even put the fastest runners to shame, but not before handing the Black Wonder Key to Lucas. With that in mind, the group headed to Mt. Moon.

The group traveled northeast until they arrived at Mt. Moon. "Here we are; Mt. Moon, home to a variety of pokemon, the Clefairy evolution line among them.", smiled Lucas

Arceus adds, "You remember that comet that threatened all life on this planet that I destroyed three months ago? I remember a few of the fragments of it fell here." They went inside and explored the caverns until, they found a fragment of the comet in a cavernous room which glittered like the Moon Stone.

"Well, we found a fragment", started Paul, "But what can be done with it?"

Arceus was about to reply, when the comet fragment was suddenly snatched by an metallic arm while others grabbed Pikachu, Seraphina's pokemon egg, Lilly's pokemon egg, Kelula's pokemon egg, and the pokeball containing Meila's Mesprit, while they heard familiar voices from a certain trio of Team Rocket operatives

"Is that a twerpish voice I hear?"

"It speaks to me loud and clear"

"On the wind!"

"Past the stars!"

"In your ear!"

"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace."

"Dashing hope, putting fear in its place."

"A rose by any other name is just as sweet."

"When everything's worse, our work is complete."

"Jessie!"

"And it's James!"

"And Meowth, now dat's a name!"

"Putting the do-gooders in their place..."

"...we're Team Rocket..."

"...in your face!"

"Wobbuffet!"

"Never heard of you." Meila replied with a deadpan expression, before demanding, "Now, why don't you give us back our pokemon and that comet fragment?"

"We can't do that, twerpette. We are taking these to our boss including Arceus which he demands." Jessie sneered as Arceus growled, "You won't be able to get me so easily, mortal! Besides, your hairdo sucks!"

At that statement, the red-haired operative blew her stack, throwing a massive temper tantrum.

"You're such a little kid." Star remarks, imitating Iris before firing a Hyper Beam at the comedic trio, as they are sent flying yelling, "We're blasting off again!" as they disappeared with a ping, while Star caught the pokemon and the eggs safely, along with the comet fragment.

Meanwhile at the Rocket HQ, we see Giovanni sitting in his office, petting his precious Persian, when he received a transmission from an elite operative.

"Talk to me.", ordered the crime boss, as the elite member reported, "We have just learned that there are sightings of the Seven Sages of Team Plasma here in our home region of Kanto, especially Ghetsis."

"Heh! What does that old fool think he's up to?", sneers Giovanni, as the member replied, "According to our spies, they're dead set on making N, the former boss of Team Plasma, pay for his betrayal, and also to capture Arceus."

Giovonni sneered sadistically at the mention of Arceus, "Arceus...That legendary has messed with us for the last time, especially with that little disappearing act, and leaving behind that King Bob-Omb to blow us up! Hah! If anyone is to capture Arceus, it shall be Team Rocket! No-one will stop us, not even Team Plasma from Unova! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

Back with the group, they are heading back outside at the other side of the mountain and camped out. A few days passed, and Team Rocket and Team Plasma have tracked down Arceus' location and both plan to capture Arceus, while thwarting each other from doing the same thing.

Then, large air carriers with capture devices piloted by Team Rocket attacked Arceus with out warning, only to be fired at by Team Plasma, with airships of their own equipped with laser cannons and capture devices.

Arceus flew up, and fired a hyper beam at the airships, only to be deflected as he was then trapped in an energy field, but tried to break free with multiple Judgments, until he eventually tires out. But all is not lost. Thinking quickly, he used the transmitter he received at his birthday to call for help.

But by the time help came, it was too late, as Arceus was already taken to a hidden HQ. A month went by, and Arceus is suffering, as he is shackled to the cold floor with his legs spread painfully. He also has a heated shock collar which burned his throat, along with piercing it with sharp spikes on the inside. He is also extremely emaciated, having no body fat or muscle mass. All his fur was burned off of his body, except his head and tail. His body is completely covered in deep, bleeding lacerations, 2nd and 3rd degree burns, and bruises all on almost every inch of his body. All of his ribs, his legs, hip and shoulder bones, and his neck are broken. A few of his ribs punctured his left lung. His crosswheel was torn off forcefully and painfully, while his life plates are ripped out of his body, and scattered across the five regions with some of them broken into shards. Arceus now has an extreme fear of humans from what he went through, as he was experimented on, one of which where he tried to make an escape during the first week, but was subdued.

There is still hope though, for infiltrating the ranks of Team Rocket once again, are the Pokemon Rangers, Jackie Walker among them. Along with Jack Walker are Rangers Kellyn, Keith, Solana, and several other Top Rangers. They infiltrated the layer quietly, until they found the cell containing Arceus who is in a pool of his own blood and urine, an inch deep.

"Yecch!", Jackie remarked to himself, "Disgusting! We have to get him out of here!"

Jackie and Kellyn proceeded to try and remove the shackles, which are electrified and as a result, it sent an electric shock through Arceus, who tried to cry out in pain but no sounds came out, but blood in his mouth. Arceus tried to get away, but was electrocuted more as he felt silent agony and fear.

Solana quickly got out her Capture Styler and pointed at a nearby wall and shouted, "Ranger Sign! Lairon! ", as she deployed the distinctive top-like device, and made quick movements with the styler making an emblem which summoned Lairon, who appeared from from the symbol. "Lairon, I need you toe cut the chains!" Solana ordered, as the Iron Armor Pokemon, who went into the cell, bit the chains carefully and cut off the electricity.

With the male Rangers, the two try to gain Arceus' trust by kneeling at eye level, and reached out to him in a non-threatening manner. "Don't be afraid Arceus, we Pokemon Rangers are here to help. We'll get you out of here, I promise.", Jack Walker says to him in a reassuring tone, as he gently pets him, while Kellyn gets a first aid kit and checks his vitals. He noticed his pulse is getting weak, and his breathing getting labored. Kellyn quickly contacted the Ranger Union with his Styler. "Rhythmi, come in! It's Ranger Kellyn, its an emergency!"

Rythmi replied, "Talk to me.", at which Kellyn reported, "We found Arceus, but he's in terrible shape. Any orders on what to do next?"

"Well, we need to get him to the Hospital immediately.", ordered Rythmi, "Besides, Team Rocket might know you're here in their lair anyways."

Kellyn replies, "Understood. Kellyn out."

It was then they heard approaching footsteps, at which Arceus began whimpering fearfully, and was desperate to get away, be couldn't due to his legs being broken, and is too weak to do much. Arceus pleaded weakly not to be harmed and braced himself for what might come.

Jack Walker warned, "They know we're here alright. We better get out and fast!"

Solana was about to reply, when she heard a smug tone saying, "You're not getting Arceus out of here this time, Rangers!"

The smug tone came from none other than Giovanni himself, along with a large number of Rocket Grunts.

"Giovanni...", snarled Jack

Arceus' eyes widened with fear as he began whimpering softly, pleading to not be tortured by the Rockets. He squeezed his eyes shut bracing himself for another torture session.

Giovonnis sneered sadisticly at the cowering legendary as he pulled out a whip ready to strike Arceus, "Arceus belongs to Team Rocket now, as our slave, and you will not take him. And you have the nerve to come and free him from our clutches. I will let you Rangers go free, if you stop helping Arceus. If you do try to, I can't guarantee that you will get out alive.", as he then struck Arceus with a whip, causing him to let out a sharp but weak cry in pain. Arceus began crying, begging for mercy, but one of the grunts kicked him in the face to stop him from crying.

"You vile, no-good bastard!", snarled Jackie, pulling a sleeve back.

"Hey, watch your mouth around the boss, foolish Ranger!", yelled a grunt angrily

Before Giovanni could do anything else, the very earth itself suddenly started shaking. "What is going on?", demands the Rocket Boss, as he is then tossed to the floor with a pained grunt.

Within seconds, the legendary Groudon came up from the ground in an earth-shattering roar! "It's Groudon...", started Giovanni in awe, before regaining his composure and ordering, "Don't let it get Arceus, you fools!"

The grunts went over to Arceus and tried grabbing him but Arceus tried to struggle but the grunts kicked him in the stomach and neck while one cattle prodded him painfully while putting a muzzle on him. Arceus cried out weakly pleading for help. But one of them shot Arceus in the stomach, and spit on him, hurling degrading insults at him. Groudon became furious, and tackled the grunts, as Arceus fell to the ground, while Giovonni tried to finish what he started, and beat the Original One himself, who pleaded for mercy. Groudon simply picked up Giovonni, and threw him across the hall, knocking him unconsious while the grunts ran off, knowing they stood no chance. Arceus laid there crying in pain and fear. The Pokemon Rangers now needed to take Arceus to a hospital, but as they approached him, he whimpered fearfully, pleading weakly as he felt his voice leaving him, "Please...don't...hurt..me..."

Solana felt her heart break into pieces at the tone, as she tried to get closer, and reached her hand out to him, but Arceus squeezed his eyes shut bracing himself, expecting her to hit him. But he felt no harsh blows landing on him, he felt himself being petted delicately.

Arceus flinched at first, but soon fell unconscious from the loss of blood, and from his injuries. The Pokemon Rangers immediately transported him to a Pokemon Hospital in Cerulean City, and reported back to the Ranger Union as a Mission Clear.
