~~**Forever Caged**~~
With a concerned eye, Simon watched the lovely mongrel as he stood outside on the balcony, just staring blankly out into the distance… He had called out to him softly numerous times but his words had seemed to fall on deaf ears.
“Poor thing,” Simon whispered. He had begun to notice these strange bouts of silence from the boy the first night he had come to live with them, and all those times Simon had noticed was when the master would leave to attend to a matter that could not be dealt with in the apartment. It was also why he had allowed the boy to send a video message to the master, even knowing that he might be severely punished for it. The boy came back ‘alive’ when he was around Master Jayd, and even though it has only been three days Simon
needed to see the happiness, that brightness that the boy seemed to shine on him, and he knew his master also liked it.
There was also the matter that the mongrel seemed to not be sleeping, not by himself anyway. The boy loved to curl up on the mater’s lap and nap, but other than that he didn’t think the boy closed his eyes once the master turned in for the night. He had awoken last night to see the mongrel standing exactly where he was standing right now… just sadly staring out without really looking at anything.
Simon sighed, because he knew he had to tell Master Jayd about what he had found in the boy’s room… The young mongrel had taken all the bedding and made a nest in the closet; he had never seen the boy sleep other than on the master, but if he was then Simon knew the boy was sleeping in the small, cramped little closet.
He had even found the same nest type bed of his master’s clothing in his large walk-in closet. Simon didn’t know what to make of this strange behavior but he did know that it wasn’t healthy; he would have to tell his master once he returned, maybe even suggest that the boy see one of Eos physicians because besides the mongrel pet’s strange actions, Sky also was not eating.
Per his master’s orders he had purchased whatever the boy wanted to keep himself entertained, an order that he just placed. All the things the boy wanted didn’t seem to be dangerous but he was curious to what it was that the boy needed yards of silk, thread, sewing needles.
The sound of the front door opening had Simon rushing to the door. “Master Jady! I was not expecting you back so early!”
Marcus looked down at his Furniture who stood before him nervously. “I’ve called the physician to take a look at Sky. I wanted to be here while he was being examined.”
“Then you know of his-“
“Of course I know!” Marcus retorted irritably, passing by the Furniture to seek out the little troublemaker. Pausing in the middle of the living room Marcus frowned at the sight of Sky standing with an almost forlorn expression on his lovely face, an expression that disappeared as if it had never been there when the boy turned and saw him.
“Marcus!”
Marcus grunted when the boy ran and jumped up into his arms. “Disrespectful creature, it is not “Marcus” but “Master Jardy” in which you should be addressing me as.”
“Anything you say Marcus,” said Fidget, ginning. The relief he felt seeing the Blondie was as if a weight had been lifted from his chest. He was never alone but Simon only spoke to him if he asked him a question, and the lack of conversation was deafening. It made the fact that he was away from Keito all the more real.
“How are you feeling?” Marcus demanded to know as he stared into the boy’s stormy grey eyes.
“Better now that you are here,” Fidget answered sweetly as he wrapped his arms around the Blondie’s neck.
“Why?” Marcus demanded as he carried the boy to a near by chair, holding the mongrel in his lap and tilting his head up so he could study Sky. “The amount of the cream you consumed, the drug that was in it, should have put you down.”
“That stuff? ‘Psh’ it would take more then a few bites of diluted Lalium blooms to put me down,” Fidget said naughtily as he changed positions so he could saddle the Blondie. “I’ve eaten twenty of those without even getting cross eyed.”
Marcus stared down at the boy, so startled by what the mongrel said that he didn’t scold Sky when he began to wiggle in his lap or when he began to unbutton his shirt. “You’ve eaten a Lalium flower?”
“Mmm… I use to pick them straight from the bush,” Fidget mumbled as he scouted closer up on the Blondie’s lap. “They taste good with fresh fruit and a sprinkle of sugar on top.”
Marcus finally stopped the mongrel’s hands when he felt them pushing his shirt off his shoulders. “And how would you have accomplished such a thing? The Lalium flower is a rarity that can only be found on one planet. All attempts to grow the blossom here have failed since there are certain minerals in the planet’s soil that cannot be recreated in a lab.”
“Really?” Fidget asked as he grinned and leaned forward to press his naked chest to that of the Blondie’s he had uncovered. With his hands held prisoner he wrapped his legs around Marcus’s waist and tightened them to bring the Blondie closer to him. “Wow, I didn’t know that. If the flower is so rare then that means that they must be worth lots, and lots, if someone were to farm them and sell them, huh?”
“You are correct,” Marcus hissed, his skin tingling where the mongrel’s flesh touched, “Which is why I want to know why someone like you would even know the name of such a flower.”
“Someone like me? Damn, those are some pretty harsh words… but very true,” Fidget giggled. “Thankfully I’m proud of my low breeding so I’m not insulted at all.” Fidget delighted in the fact at how animated the Elite was becoming, in the fact the energy that emitted from Marcus warmed him. It was the very thing that he needed… he hated the darkness, the isolation and loneliness of the Blondie’s apartment when he was gone.
The absence of sound…the stillness… Fidget hated the lack of activity it made him stop and think of the past…but in the Blondie presence it halted his nightmarish thoughts. Marcus had such a strong aura about him that it filled all those dark corners and skeletal fingers of his memories, keeping them at bay. It wasn’t as good as if Keito was with him, but it was enough to keep him from sinking down into the quicksand of his sad youth in a bad place.
But even his thoughts about how Marcus could chase away the shadows were thinking about the past, and what he wanted right now was in the present. “Surely we have something better to do then talk about some weed, right?” Fidget grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. “I wanna play.”
Marcus let go of the mongrel’s wrists to grasp him by the shoulders, shaking him. “You will answer my question.”
“Or what?” Fidget asked, bouncing in the Blondie’s lap and receiving a low hiss of discomfort from the Elite when he hit something very sensitive down there. “Are you going to mistreat me? Punish me and give me a spanking if I don’t tell you?”
“I give you my word that if you tell me I will not punish you,” said Marcus impatiently. “But only if you tell me now.”
“Meh, what’s the point? I’m into the tickle, not the spank, but I wouldn’t mind bending over for you and letting you shine my ass.” Fidget laughed at Marcus’s astonished expression. “I tell you what. If you play a game with me I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”
Marcus was slightly stunned at how easily the boy denied him. It was as if Sky did not fear his retribution at all… it was a first for him. “And what game might that be?”
“It’s called “Mountain Climbing”. The object of the game is to scale the mountain of your choice. Once I’ve accomplished that, then I’ll tell you.” Fidget tried to keep the wicked glee from his voice.
“You want to go mountain climbing?” Marcus asked skeptically, eyeing the devious way the boy grinned up at him.
“Yup, as in, let me climb that mountain of a bod of yours and once I’ve sat on your ‘peek’ and reached mine, I’ll tell you all you want to know.” Before the Blondie could react, Fidget leaned in and kissed him. Nipping at Marcus’s lower lip so the Elite would open his mouth for him, and he could dip his tongue into the delicious sweetness of the Blondie’s virgin mouth.
“It’s a fair trade, right?” Fidget asked slightly breathless, “I’ll let you poach my portal in exchange for a little bit of info you want.”
The temptation was great, but even though Marcus now knew that the boy would never not lay his hands on him, never act as a normal pet (which to an extent he subconsciously already knew that) he still was not ready to shed the last of his Elite code which dictated that pets were to look at only, that they were never to be touched…But his could not voice his rejection out loud.
“Come on,” Fidget shamelessly whined, “I’ll show you how I don’t have a tan line.”
Narrowing his eyes at that, picturing how the boy could have a healthy golden tan all over his body, as well as the fact that the boy didn’t try to blackmail him into seeing his twin brother instead. In fact, after the first and second day Sky had completely stopped talking about the other mongrel after Marcus had told him that he had spoken to Aisha about bringing them together privately, but such a meeting would not be forthcoming anytime soon. Aisha did not believe it would be wise considering the trouble they might bring if reunited, to which Marcus had reluctantly agreed.
Fidget took the Elite’s silence as acceptance, fisting the edges of Marcus’s silk shirt and pulling him towards him…only to have someone behind them, cough to try and gain their attention. Gritting his teeth in annoyance Fidget didn’t fight when the Blondie removed him from his lap and rush to button up his shirt.
“Bad timing Simon,” Fidget muttered, giving the Furniture a sullen look.
“Forgive me interruption, but Sir Michael Ozent is here.”
Fidget hopped onto the chair the Blondie jumped up from and “Ohhh” when the pretty red-head entered. “Hot damn Marcus, he’s damn near finer then you are,” Fidget playfully commented just irritate the Blondie, and grinning when he saw that his remark hit a nerve.
“Behave yourself Sky. Michael is here you exam you to make sure your healthy.” Marcus’s fingers twitched to tuck in his shirt but dared not to bring the Ruby’s attention to his ruffled state, although it was already clearly noted by the lower ranking Elite.
“Exam me?” Fidget mumbled, his eyes shooting to the little black bag he just noticed the tall Elite carried. “Why do I need him to exam me? I feel fine. I don’t need him poking at me to tell me what I already know.”
Marcus grabbed the boy when he tried to dash away. “This isn’t a request, you will be looked at and you will not make a fuss about it.” Marcus stiffened when he saw the boy’s playfulness evaporate and those lovely eyes narrowed up at him.
“You wanna play doctor with me is fine, but hell no if I’m going to “turn and cough” for some strange quack.” Fidget shrugged off Marcus’s hand, crossed his arms and turned his back on the Blondie. “I’m not doing it.”
“Sir Jayd, if you would like me to come back at-“
“No,” Marcus grounded out, “You will do the examination now.”
“Uh ah, no he’s not,” said Fidget shaking his head. “I’m not letting that stethoscope carrying egghead touch my smexy smooth body.”
Smexy?Marcus looked at the boy in confusion to the unfamiliar word, but the meaning wasn’t very hard to grasp. “You will do as you’re told!”
Fidget stuck his tongue out at the Blondie then ducked when Marcus made a grab for him. “I don’t wanna I said! He’s got leaves growing out of his head!”
“What!” Now Marcus was completely baffled by the boy’s absurd ranting.
“Oh,” Fidget giggled, “I guess I did get just a little bit high off that body cream, but besides the colors, kick ass vines grow’n on everything and the rippling waves that are making me a little unsteady on my feet, I still don’t want that quack anywhere near me.”
“Maybe a slight sedative would be helpful in this case, Sir Jayd.”
“Fuck off! I’m warning you,” Fidget threatened as he backed away from the Blondie that began to stalk him. “Don’t let my small statue fool you, I can cause you some serious shin pains and sore muscles if you try and grab me.”
Fidget squealed when the Blondie rushed in with such speed that he seemed to be nothing but a blur, howling when he felt those strong arms lock around his waist and lifted him off his feet. “Let go, let go, let go!”
“Hold still!” Marcus growled. “Be silent!” The almost animal like wailing took on a higher pitch, hurting Marcus’s ears when he motioned the Rudy to come closer, and the closer the Elite came the more wild the mongrel became in his arms. Scratching and biting, struggling with such ferocity that Marcus was forced to sit down so he could use the aid of his legs to control the boy.
“There is nothing to fear!” Marcus was forced to shout to be heard above the boy’s shrieking.
“So you say! But you’re not the one that will get a shot in the ass! I don’t want nanites in me like Jupiter put in Riki!” Fidget shouted, slightly crazed, before chomping down on Marcus’s arm only to release what flesh he had trapped between his teeth when he saw the red-head take out a monster of a needle out of his bag.
“No, no, get away from me! Ow! Ouch, ouch!” Fidget shouted, wiggling like mad, and digging his nails in the Blondie’s arms to try and get away.
“He hasn’t even touched you yet!” Marcus hissed in pain, covering the boy’s mewing mouth and cursing when he felt the damn mongrel’s teeth chomp down on the flesh of his palm. But even as he passed off the boy’s drugged ranting he still couldn’t pass off the comment the boy shouted out about Riki and Jupiter. “What is it that you have in that needle?” Marcus demanded, stopping the Rudy from injecting the clear liquid into Sky’s arm.
“Nothing more than a mild sedative to help in calming the boy down, it should have no ill effects, even with whatever drug he may be on.”
“Dom ishon ju hib!” Fidget franticly tried to say, inching his body as far as he could away from the Ruby Elite and the ever closing in needle.
“No,” said Marcus firmly, “I want to see the vial, and I want to watch as you as you fill up a new needle.”
Fidget pulled Marcus’s hand off his mouth while he was distracted, “Ha, ha, take that you bitc-” Fidget stilled immediately when the Blondie squeezed him tightly, cutting off what he was going to say, and growled warningly in his ear.
“One more word and you’ll be locked in your room for the next three days, do you understand me?” Marcus threatened and was surprised, shocked even, when the boy shot him a look filled with fear. “Do you understand me?”
Oh all the things the Blondie could have said to him to make him ‘obey’, this was the only thing that would have made Fidget sit up and pay attention to. He hated being all alone… “Fine…I’ll keep my mouth shut, but I don’t want a shot. I’m fine. The little flower trip will wither out in an hour or so, and you can see that my communication skills are just perfect.”
“By your aggravated state you are anything but ‘fine’.” Marcus held out his hand for the sealed vial the ruby handed to him, checking it over before nodding and handing it back. “You will be getting a shot; it’s the only thing that will allow Michael to examine you without you doing harm to yourself.”
The words had barely left Marcus’s lips with the mongrel started to buck in his arms, and the boy’s head snapping back and catching him painfully on the chin. Jerking his head away, Marcus switched his hold so that with the boy trapped between his legs so that he would be bent him over his knee, holding his arms behind his back and with his forearm on his lower back, but not before slapping the mongrel’s rump with a punishing blow when he felt Sky’s teeth sink into his thigh. “Behave!”
“You’re hurting me!” Fidget wailed.
“If you would cease acting like a child then I wouldn’t have to hold you down!” Marcus fumed.
“Well, if you talking age, then I am a child compared to your withering age,” sniffed Fidget, laying his head down on the Blondie’s thigh, tired.
Marcus felt like strangling the boy for that comment.
“If I promise not to struggle, will you let me go?” Fidget asked, blowing his hair out of his eyes so he could see the Blondie.
Marcus looked down at the mongrel skeptically. “You expect me to believe you?”
“I give you my word,” Fidget begged prettily. Being held down the way he was, was his fault entirely but seeing some white coated doctor coming towards him with a needle freaked him out…Bad memories rising up viscously threatening to bring him to his knees. “I swear that I won’t fight anymore.”
Marcus had no reason to listen to the mongrel, but still found himself letting the boy go. “One move and I’ll chain you down,” he warned Sky.
Instead of stepping way from the Blondie, Fidget climbed back up onto Marcus’s lap and wrapped his arms around his neck, hiding his face in the nook of the Elite’s neck. “I still don’t want him to give me a shot,” whispered Fidget.
Hesitantly Marcus slowly embraced the boy. “You won’t struggle?”
Fidget shook his head.
Sighing Marcus looked at the Rudy that still held the newly filled needle in his hand. “No sedative will be required,” Marcus firmly, silencing the lower ranking Elite with his words if he decided to argue with him and his decision.
“…Alright, but being that he is a mongrel, and not have had the required immunizations, I will still need to give him a shot. It is a mixture of all vaccinations he will need before he can mingle with the rest of the pets in Eos, so I will only need to give him one injection.”
“You hear that?” Marcus whispered in the boy’s ear, “It’s just one shot, and your brother as well as the other mongrel will need to get one too.”
“Sure, it’s easy for you to say but you’re not the one that’ll be poked in the ass with a sharp object,” muttered Fidget, flinching when he felt strange hands pushing down his pants down a little and the cold wetness of what smelled to be alcohol being used to clean off his skin.
Marcus tightened his arms around his mongrel when he stiffened and little out a sad little whimper, that seemed to be more for show then from distress when the Ruby Elite gave him the shot, even rubbing the boy’s back to try and comfort him all the while making a mental note to speak to Iason about what Sky said about Riki. Marcus knew that Iason would have captured Riki, but what if his leader had help?
“The next time you spank me; can you do it in the bedroom without the audience?”
Marcus chuckled, laying his cheek on the boy’s crown, and whispered affectionately, “Scandalous creature.”
oOoOoOo
Iason stared across from him to the boy that sat nervously wringing his hands in his lap. Taking a sip of wine from his fluke, Iason did nothing to break the silence that stretched on. Taking the time instead to continue studying the seed, and seeing nothing of his Riki in the boy, just a sad pale attempt to recreate perfection.
The boy did resemble Riki, true, but that was all. The fire that Iason loved, that steel spine and defiant glaze blazing from midnighteyes was missing from the child. Where Riki was dark, the boy was….bland, pale in coloring with his light brown hair. His personality was lacking as well. Looking at the boy the one word that repeated in Iason’s mind was the word weak.
But it would not do for him to inhospitable to his unwanted guest. “Tell me child, do you know anything about how it is that you are Riki’s… offspring?”
“I know very little, y-your Excellency.”
Curling his lip slightly in distaste at the abrasive sound of the boy’s voice, Iason glared at the boy. “You know very little? That still means that you know something, don’t you?”
“Oh…umm… y-yes.”
With a smile that could be called cruel, Iason leaned forward. “What you know could be entertaining. Why don’t you enlighten me in what knowledge you have?”
“Fucking hell, Iason. I step away to use the can, and here you are fucking interrogating the kid.” Riki thundered, striding up behind his Blondie and plucking the wine glass out of his hand. “Leave him alone. Shit. His voice is all fucked up, and here you are forcing him to talk.”
Iason’s demeanor softened the moment he heard Riki’s voice and his mongrel flopped down next to him on the sofa, disgracefully propping his feet up on the table. “Forcing him to speak? I was trying to converse with the boy.” Iason turned to the pet across from him. “Did it seem as if I was aggressively seeking answers from you in any way?”
“N-no, not at all…”
Riki shook his head. “Jade, until your voice heals I don’t want you to talk, period. That is an order.”
Interesting, Iason thought as he watched as the weak creature in front of him straighten up, his jade colored eyes hardening with determination as he nodded to Riki, and for the barest of moments had the courage to look him straight in the eyes, as if to tell him that he would not be saying one word to him before lowering his glaze to look down upon his white knuckled fists.
“Amusing little trick you’ve taught him,” mused Iason as he retrieved his glass from Riki.
Riki gave the glass back willingly after grimacing in distaste at the bitterness of the wine he had taken a sip from. “He’s not an animal in which I can teach him parlor tricks just to amuse you, Iason. Jade knows that what I tell him is for his own good, and talking to a sadistic bastard like you isn’t in his best interest.” Riki grunted when Iason lifted an annoying brow at his “animal” comment, since to those fucking Elites Jade was considered a pet, and thusly an animal.
“He will have to speak to me sooner or later Riki-“
“Yea, yea, and when you say “sooner or later” for you means now. I get that, but I anit gonna let you terrorize my kid when he can’t defend himself.” Riki glared at Iason when all he did was look at him all superior like. “It’s not like I don’t wanna know what’s going on too. I want answers as well, but not when talking is going to cause him pain.”
“When he can’t defend himself,” Iason repeated, smiling. “When you say that, are you referring to his little ‘gift’ of being able to control those around him with just his voice?”
Riki gave Jade s sideways glance as he replied to Iason, “what gifts are you are you talking about?”
“I see we still need to work on our communication skills,” Iason said to Riki as he pulled the mongrel closer to him by the nap of his neck, “You know very well what I’m talking about Riki. Gideon gave me a complete report of your capture, and of Jade’s participation.”
Riki shrugged off Iason’s hold. “If you know, than why you ask’n?”
“Gideon requested that I protect the boy, and you know as well that I can not do that without knowing what kind of protection is needed to keep this child safe.” A slight untruth on his part, but the majority of what Iason said was true. All anyone needed to know was that the pet was protected by him; his name alone should be enough to keep Jade unharmed, but Iason wanted details. The facts Gideon reported had been so far fetched that it bordered into the realm of fiction. If the boy used his ‘gift’ on anyone he needed to be aware of it, and he also needed to find a way to counteract it.
There was also the fact that such a tool could come in handy….
Riki narrowed his eyes at Iason. “I know that fucking look in your eyes Iason. I know very well that all anyone needs to know is that you’re looking out for Jade and they won’t touch a hair on his head, plus the fucking fact that I’ll kick anyone’s ass if they thought to test to see if the kid is really being protected by you.” Riki tried to stand but was yanked back down, and held down by Iason draping his heavy arm across his shoulders. “You plan on using him, aren’t you?”
Iason smiled, “The thought may have crossed my mind.”
“Bullshit,” Riki huffed, “It wasn’t just a thought. Knowing you, you probably know exactly how your going to use him and with who. I’ve been with you too fucking long, I know better.”
“And still you can not win a battle against me,” Iason smirked. Yes, he did know how he was going to utilize the boy’s skill once he tested Jade’s power. The mystery surrounding Riki, and the gathering of information was taking longer then he had patients for. If Jade could do as he was informed then he planned to use him to quicken the process.
“I am m-more than happy to do anything that needs to be done to help you Riki….”
Riki grimaced at Jade’s words. The kid just made things hard for him by willingly offering his help to Iason. He might as well have sold his soul, and from the satisfied look on his Blondie’s face Riki knew it was going to be hell for him. Iason got him and Jade right where he wanted them. “Fuck Jade,” Riki muttered, “I told you to keep your trap shut…”
Iason knew how much the kid meant to him, but other than knowing that Jade followed his orders Iason didn’t know anything about the boy or how Jade felt about him. With that heartfelt sentence, and eager, needing to please attitude, Iason now knew Jade wasn’t just following his commands like some underling, but because he cared for him….and Iason had no problems in using those tender emotions to his advantage.
Iason caressed Riki’s jaw line, turning his face to him. “Looks like you haven’t taught him nearly enough while you were away from me.” Iason tilted Riki’s chin up and smiled at his disgruntled expression, kissing him lightly on the lips.
Glaring into Iason’s ice blue eyes, Riki said, “Yea, I should have told him that with you fuckers anything you say can be used against you. Think about every little thing, because your words and or actions could get you bent over and fucked royally.” Riki smacked Iason’s hand off his face and turned to Jade, sighing at the kid’s panicked look.
“Thank you, Jade,” Iason said, speaking before Riki could. “Your offer will be considered with great care, and I’m sure I have something lying around that I could use your assistance with.”
“Fuck that-“ Riki gritted his teeth when Iason stopped him from talking by covering his lips with his forefinger.
“Ah, but I will use him as I see fit.” Iason looked at the worried boy across from him. “Your skill would be used to help Riki. You want to help protect your sire, do you not?” Iason smiled when he saw the pet look at him eagerly.
Iason, you prick, thought Riki. “He doesn’t need to protect me. I can protect myself.”
“Can you?” Iason continued to look at Jade as he asked Riki his question. “Jade, you know as well as Riki and I do that there is something secretly going on, something behind locked doors that a certain powerful entity is working around the clock, plotting with Riki as their main player in their plans. You want to help me stop them don’t you?” Iason smiled mockingly at Riki when Jade nodded in agreement. “It looks like Jade does not disapprove of joining me in my quest to keep you safe.”
“That’s because he doesn’t know any fucking better,” Riki hissed, but as much as he hated to admit it, Iason was right. With Jade’s help he could learn why Jupiter sneakily tagged his ass when she made it clear she wanted him gone. But fuck if he liked the way Iason manipulated Jade to do as he wanted.
“Before we get into all that shit, we need to talk about Jerico and how we are going to keep his ass away from Jade.” Jupiter was a big concern but she was something that one had to take more than just the standard precautions with, and Riki also had to talk to Iason in more detail about her. For once he would have to listen and follow Iason when it came to that AI. But the Onyx Elite was a different matter. Going by example, Riki knew that the Elite wasn’t going to give up on Jade just because a Blondie now claimed him as his own.
“Sir Ervic is of no concern,” Iason said in a bored tone, taking a sip from his glass. “He will be dealt with accordingly by Gideon if he should step out of line. You,” Iason looked pointedly at Riki, “will stay clear from him, and not engage in anyway with him.”
“I won’t approach Jerico,” Riki answered. “But I also won’t run if he comes to me. If I ever get released, and am able to walk around this place again, that will mean that Jade will be with me. If Jerico decides to have a chat with Jade and I think that my kid is being intimidated in anyway then I plan to stop him.”
Riki looked Iason dead in the eyes. “And I can stop him now, and I will take him down too if I have to.”
oOoOoOo
“I have done as you’ve commanded of me.”
Jupiter glazed down at her most trusted servant kneeling down before her. “Were they suspicious?”
“No, they were not. The Ruby Elite, Michael Ozent nor your Blondie, Marcus Jayd, both did not suspect a thing. I did exactly as you said and did not show myself, only switched all the vials so that the mongrel would be given the serum of your creation.”
The unholy perfection of Jupiter’s emotionless face stared down at the liquid vials she had bid her servant to steal and replace with something else. “Is this all of it?”
“Yes, Jupiter. Sir Ozent is scheduled to visit all the mongrels, even the son of Riki the Black. The only one that will be difficult to reach is Sir Mikhale Tain’s pet, Lilly. Other than Lilly we should have all of the others tagged in no time.”
Flying higher, until she almost touched the ceiling, with barely a flicker of her mercury like eyes Jupiter brought forth images of all her players, studying all of them with an almost scientific eye. “From the moment Iason introduced Riki into Eos, I knew he was the one, but the tests that needed to be done to him took too long to verify, and there could not be a margin of doubt that he was The One. Even with the changes he created in my children, the changes that happened due to his very presence in Eos, the changes that he made in Iason. I could not move forward with my plan if he proved to be a fraud.”
“Forgive me for my boldness Jupiter, but what of the situation with Sir Jerico? His change…it’s not like the others. He is proving to be more violent in his actions, and now he is with that man-“
The sudden flair of her silver body silenced her servant’s troublesome worrying questions. “It has started already. I cannot interfere with the natural course of my Onyx’s evolution. He is not human in which the harmful path he has chosen can be halted with words.” Jupiter traced the jaw line of the image of her midnighthaired Elite with a glowing fingertip.
“But with your guidance-“
“If I want my children to become perfect then I cannot intervene, not in this.” Jupiter’s form dimmed slightly. “In every war there will be casualties. Only the main players will I step in to save, should they need saving.”
“And the others?”
The image of her beautiful Onyx Elite faded away. “Of the other’s… If they cannot change then they too will die…”
