Who Do You Love
Part 5
Act 5
(Touma didn’t say anything. He just stormed out of the room. He couldn’t believe that Eiri had said that to him. The problem was that Eiri had been correct and deep down inside he really did love Yuri. He was actually in the process of getting a divorce with Mika. Touma sighed he just hoped that when he told Yuri how he really felt, that Yuri would forgive him.
Eiri got up and walked out of the bedroom. He walked over to the study door and knocked on the door.)
Yuri: (Putting the picture away) Come in.
(Eiri walked into the room and shut the door.)
Yuri: Eiri are you all right?
Eiri: I’m OK.
Yuri: Like hell you are.
Eiri: (Sitting down on the couch) OK. So I’m not all right at the moment, but I will be. You are trying to hide from Touma aren’t you?
Yuri: Why do you say that?
Eiri: Because you are in here and he is out in the living room. You still love him don’t you?
Yuri: I never stopped loving him.
Eiri: He loves you too.
Yuri: Yeah Right.
Eiri: I am serious. He may be denying it but he does love you.
Yuri: He is married.
Eiri: His marriage to my sister was just another way to hide how he really feels.
Yuri: What about you and Shuichi?
Eiri: I love him and I want to be with him, but because of my past I didn’t want to let him get close to me.
Yuri: And now?
Eiri: I don’t know, we will just have to see how things go.
(Just then the doorbell rang. They both got up and walked out of the study. Yuri opened the door and was surprised that to see Mika, Touma’s wife, standing there.)
Eiri: Mika what are you doing here?
Mika: Is Touma here.
Eiri: Yeah, How did you know he was here?
Mika: He left this address on his desk at his office.
Eiri: (Shouting) Touma.
Touma: (Walking into the hallway) What?
Eiri: Your wife wants you.
(Touma walked outside to talk with Mika. Eiri followed Yuri into the kitchen.)
Yuri: You know what I don’t get?
Eiri: What?
Yuri: Why does he have my phone number and address if he hates me.
Eiri: I told you he doesn’t hate you. He is just in denial about how he really feels.
(Outside. Mika was standing in front of Touma. She had some papers in her hand.)
Mika: (Waving the papers at him) Why the hell are you doing this?
Touma: Because, this marriage just isn’t working out.
Mika: What?
Touma: I don’t love you anymore. We don’t even make love and I can’t stay with some one that I don’t love anymore.
(Mika didn’t say anything she just stood there. She couldn’t believe that this was happening but it was. She walked off leaving Touma standing there by himself.
A few minutes later he walked back into the house and into the kitchen.)
Touma: I am going to go home. When are you going to come home Eiri?
Eiri: Probably in a few days.
Touma: OK.
(They both watched him leave the room. Before Touma left he grabbed the bag that he had brought with him. Inside the bag, besides the broken glass, was a journal that Touma had been writing in. They were all letters to Yuri. Touma walked into Yuri’s study, set the journal down on the desk, and then left the house.
Eiri went into the living room and sat down next to Shuichi.)
Shuichi: (Looking at him) Are you OK?
Eiri: No, but I feel better than I have in months.
Shuichi: (Leaning up against Eiri) That is good.
Eiri: (Putting his arm around shuichi’s shoulder) I thought that you were supposed to be going on tour.
Shuichi: They postponed it for a couple weeks so that I could come find you.
(Yuri walked into the living room. He smiled when he saw Eiri and Shuichi sitting on the couch together.)
Yuri: Are you guys hungry?
Eiri: Yeah.
