~The Saddest
Song~

‘(Wir Sind
Natürlich)
Wir sind
menschlich
(Wir Sind
Natürlich)
Wir leben, wir
atmen
(Wir Sind
Natürlich)
Wir schreien, wir
sterben
Die Hitze der
Flamme
Kann nicht diese
kalte Welt wärmen
Sogar wird die
Mitte des Feuers eingefroren
Und durch diese
gefrorene Illusion
Ich kann Ihre
Augen sehen
(Wir Sind
Natürlich)
Wir träumen, wir
hoffen
(Wir Sind
Natürlich)
Wir fürchten uns,
wir terrorize.’
Schuldig’s eyes
softened as he listened. They were practically telling the world what they were,
and all the world thought was it was just a song. Nothing more than words and
music. Then again, the world didn’t know, or refused to believe there were
people who were able to dominate this planet.
Is this really
for the good of the world?
Schuldig looked at the crowd. Even though they were getting drenched due to the
rain, since this stadium didn’t have a cover, they were utterly thrilled to be
there. They couldn’t comprehend the fact that two of the band members would be
able to kill them all with a thought.
His attention was
drawn back to Dark and Krad, who were singing the last chorus together. When the
song ended, their eyes turned to him. Schuldig knew exactly what they
were thinking, without having to go into their minds. Their eyes said it all.
Dark stepped up
to the microphone. ‘Erinnern Sie einfach sich, die Welt ist ein kalter Platz!
Nur Sie können ihn warm bilden!’ he shouted, before starting the familiar
turn of Das Traurigste Lied, sending the crowd crazy.
Schuldig closed
his eyes, allowing himself to become lost in the music and lyrics of his
favorite song. When the music stopped, he opened his eyes, staring into Krad’s,
who was watching intensely, as he sang the last verse. Schuldig had a feeling
that part would always be directed at him, every time he listened to it after
this mission was completed.
He glanced to his
side as someone joined him. His dark eyes also watched Krad. The way the blond’s
liquid gold eyes seemed to probe Schuldig’s emerald orbs. It was painfully
obvious that the singer was directing every word to the redhead.
‘What’s he
saying?’ Nagi looked up at Schuldig.
Schuldig sighed.
‘He’s explaining that a friend killed him.’ He closed his eyes, shaking his
head. ‘I have to get out of here. I’ll meet you back at the apartment.’
Before the
Japanese boy could protest, Schuldig was gone. Nagi bit his lower lip, turning
his attention back to Dark, who was standing beside Krad, as the blond sang the
last chorus of the song. He couldn’t tear his eyes from Dark’s vibrant, amethyst
orbs. They lured him in, and Nagi willing allowed himself to become a part of
Dark’s life.

‘Gott! I’m
starving!’ Dark exclaimed when their meals were placed before them.
Nagi watched Dark
begin to wolf his food down, barely chewing. He lowered his eyes to his own
plate. They were in a diner. It was difficult to find a place still open at one
in the morning. He wasn’t complaining. This diner had some of the best food in
all of Tokyo.
He took a drink
of his orange juice. He was still trying to get a hold of the fact he was only
with Dark, just so he could murder him. Nagi crushed the plastic bottle the
juice was contained in. He didn’t want to do this. He wasn’t even sure he
could do this. He could feel Dark’s eyes on him.
Nagi couldn’t
bring himself to look into those jeweled eyes. Those eyes that were so full of
life, love, trust. Nagi still couldn’t understand how the purple haired teen
could trust him, knowing what he was going to do. It was one of those things he
wouldn’t be able to understand, not within the next week.
His breathing
became uneven as he tried to hold back tears. He could not show weakness before
the enemy! No, he would not show weakness before the enemy. But he
isn’t even the enemy! Nagi stood, still not making eye contact with Dark.
‘I’m sorry, Dark,
but I have to go.’
Dark didn’t
bother to object. He just watched the Japanese teen leave the diner. He couldn’t
say he was thrilled about what was going to happen at their next concert, but he
knew it couldn’t be stopped. Oh, sure, they could cancel the concert, and they
would live. But that was not their destiny.
Dark snorted, as
he continued to eat his food. Destiny, noun: the power supposedly determining
the course of events; the future to which any person or thing is destined; a
predetermined course of events. Yep. Our death had been “predetermined” since
that night in the pub. Dark finished his meal, paid, and left the diner.
He didn’t go
straight back to the apartment, though. Instead, he boarded a bus, and went to
Nogawa Park. When he found who he was looking for, he sat beside the redhead on
the bench. He knew Schuldig wanted to be alone, but there were a few things he
had to set straight.
‘You really like
him, don’t you?’ Dark tilted his head back, feeling the rain on his face.
‘Yes.’
‘Did you know he
spent a year and a half looking for you?’
‘No.’
‘Did you know
he’s been in love with you since he first saw you at that pub?’
Schuldig sighed.
‘No. How was I meant to?’
Dark smirked.
‘You’re telepathic, aren’t you?’
Schuldig felt his
anger boil. ‘And?’ he growled.
Dark leveled his
head, opening his eyes. ‘And did you know we were going to be killed in Germany
if we didn’t come here?’
‘Of course not!’
Schuldig glared at Dark. ‘What the fuck does this have to do with anything?!’
Dark met
Schuldig’s blazing eyes with calm ones. ‘He brought us here, because he wanted
to see you again. He had finally found you, and he wasn’t going to leave without
telling you a few things.’ Dark smiled, as Schuldig’s face became less hard. He
stood, looking down at the other German. ‘Erinnern Sie sich den an Regen,
Schuldig. In einer Woche vermischt sich es mit seinem Blut. In einer Woche
werden er und ich einer mit ihm’ With that, Dark left Schuldig alone.
Schuldig watched
the younger German leave. Fuck! How am I suppose to kill him now? Do you have
any idea on how much I hate you right now, Estet? Do you?! He scoffed. Of
course you do. That’s why you made them come here. You wanted Nagi and me to
know true pain. Well, fuck you! Schuldig stood, leaving the park.
He walked along
the nearly empty streets, hands in the pockets of his green jacket. One week.
That’s all they have left. Thanks to us. It was nineteen past three when he
got back to the apartment. He knew Nagi was asleep, and didn’t want to disturb
the boy. He had been getting very little sleep, lately. They both had.
Instead, Schuldig
showered, and went to his room. He stared out his window, watching the rain run
down the pane of glass. He felt the sudden urge to cry, but wouldn’t allow
himself to. It had been too long since he last cried, and he wasn’t about to
start now. Instead, he laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Das
Traurigste Lied going through his mind.
With a shaky
breath, Schuldig closed his eyes. It didn’t help his conscience. Especially when
all he could see where Dark and Krad smiling at him. He pulled the covers over
his naked body. He wanted this to be over. But, in the back of his mind, and
deep in his heart, he knew this would never, truly be over.

Chapter five!
Only two more chapters to go, and this baby is completed! I hope this is not a
let down to you people. But, hey, how would I know? You aren’t reviewing. Flame
me, if you wish! But I ask that you don’t. Just a short review, saying, “Good
structure, but you need to improve…etc”. You get the picture, right? Please,
please review!
Miss Roxie Faye,
I love you! I know there are a lot of things that need improvement, and I am
trying my hardest to make this story worth while to you. Since you’re only
person who has reviewed, and I could thank you all night, but I have a sex scene
to write. As to your question about why is Nagi screaming about his frustration,
well, it’s not going as planned. And when something doesn’t go as planned,
people tend to get a little frustrated.
The next chapter
contains a sex scene between two males, so be warned!
Until next time…T
T F N! Ta, ta for now!
