Violet
Walking out onto the busy streets, he sighed. It was near the end of the day, and normally crowded streets were becoming even more packed as the first few workers began to leave their offices. Unfortunately, he was only heading back towards his. The meeting had been long and tiring-- neither party could agree on the terms of the contract and little progress had been made. Overall, though, it hadn't been pointless--they needed to be signed much more than he needed to sign them, and as it got dragged out they would become more desperate and less choosy. He just had to wait a bit longer.
It was times like these, however, that made him envy Ryuichi, whose only occupation was his music. Indeed, the singer had probably left work hours ago, having helped complete the recordings they were currently producing. He would be in his apartment, playing video games, watching movies, or deciding what to do the next day; unless he was in one of his rare solemn moods--then, he'd be reading or looking out his window at the grey, overcast day that promised rain. Tohma felt a drop of water hit his nose and he sighed. The weather was keeping its promise, evidently.
He ducked into the first doorway he found--he wouldn't enjoy his work this evening, but with wet clothes it would be absolutely miserable. He saw that he'd ended up in a quiet flower boutique. The middle-aged woman behind the counter looked up and smiled at him, but he waved her off, beginning to wander through the displays. A particularly sweet smell drew him towards the back wall, where he saw a beautiful vase of violets. He touched them gently, smiling slightly as he remembered Ryuichi once bringing home a full arrangement of violets, sunflowers, and baby's breath, his only explanation? 'Because they were pretty.'
On an impulse, the blond picked up the flowers, bringing them to the counter to pay for. He'd tell the singer they'd been pretty.
