Chapter 5
“Um, Tuxedo Mask, perhaps you should take Zoisite and explain things and I will do the same with Ami.” Sailor Moon suggested.
“Yes, that sounds like a good idea.” Tuxedo Mask nodded.
Sailor Moon scooped up Luna before she could say anything. She and Tuxedo stepped off to the side to allow Ami and Zoisite a moment to say goodnight. They shared a grin when they saw Zoisite shyly kiss Ami’s cheek. Tuxedo gave a slight bow to Moon and Mercury before leading Zoisite away.
“Alright, let’s detransform and we can go somewhere quiet and talk.” Sailor Moon replied before she and Mercury became normal.
“S…Serena?” Ami stuttered.
“Surprised?” Serena giggled. “Come on, let’s go to my house and we can explain everything.”
Ami nodded. Serena slipped her arm around her friend’s shoulder and together with Luna, made their way toward the Tsukino house. Serena kept casting glances at her friend and could see that Ami was deep in thought.
‘I wonder if she remembers anything?’ Serena thought.

“Darien, what the hell happened tonight?” Zoisite asked dropping into one of Darien’s armchairs.
Darien sat across from his friend and General, “Zoisite, what do you remember?”
Zoisite frowned at the question. Yet, the moment he opened his mouth to speak, he gasped. His mind was suddenly bombarded with images. Hundreds of them. Groaning, Zoisite clutched his head as the barrier to his memories burst. Darien sat patiently, having remembered when his own memories reawakened.
Zoisite was panting when the last of the memories faded. He slowly lifted his head and met the gaze of Darien. “Endymion?”
“Welcome back General Zoisite.” Darien smiled, standing now in the armor of Endymion.
“I…I remember everything now. Wait, are you and I the only ones…”
“Well, Serena does. I’m not sure if Ami will or not, that’s why Serena suggested we take you two to different places to explain thing.”
“Serena is Serenity? Hang on, if she is Serenity why in the hell is she Sailor Moon?”
Darien chuckled, “Don’t you remember how Serenity would always plead with Queen Serenity to let her train with the other Scouts?”
“Yeah, I remember. Queen Serenity always said that Serenity was too important to risk.” Zoisite nodded.
“You’re right and when I tried to tell her that, she brought up an interesting point. Queen Serenity sent us all here to the future for a chance at a normal life. Serena thinks that we were all sent with the best of our past lives, yet none of the restrictions we all had.” Darien explained.
Zoisite mulled that over. It made sense to him. Plus, after seeing Sailor Moon in action, it was clear she knew what she was doing. “Okay, you put it that way and it does make sense. So, what happens now?”
“For now, Serena is keeping her identity as Serenity to herself. Not all of Luna’s memories have returned. She doesn’t even remember what Serenity looks like. Same thing with the Silver Crystal, which she too has. I think it’s best we don’t tell the other until their memories awaken. I think once the girls become Scouts again, it will trigger the guys.” Darien said.
“Yes, my liege.” Zoisite replied, kneeling before Darien.

“This is…is this really happening Serena?” Ami asked in surprise.
“Yeah, it is. It also seems that like Luna, you don’t remember the Silver Millennium.” Serena sighed.
“Well, it is kind of hazy. I remember fighting Beryl. It was the night of the Princess’s engagement ball I think. I was fighting with the other Scouts and…” Ami frowned, then gasped looking up at Serena.
“Yes, along side the Earth Prince’s Generals.” Serena nodded.
“Earth Prince?” Luna frowned. “He…he was engaged to Princess Serenity. He was also the reason she…”
“You’re wrong on that front Luna.” Serena interrupted. “He died protecting her and rather than being parted from him, she chose to join him. Luna, I know you blamed him and a part of you still does, but you’re blame is misplaced. It’s Beryl you should blame.”
Luna’s eyes widened at the passion in Serena’s voice. Before she could speak, Ami did so first. “What about Zoisite and Tuxedo Mask?”
“Like us, the Earth Generals were reborn. Zoisite was not just a General and protector of the Earth Prince, but he was also more to you. He and you were lovers. When the Prince and Princess fell in love, one by one his Generals and the Scouts fell in love as well. As for Tuxedo Mask, he is like me. He too is from the Silver Millennium and remembers everything.” Serena answered.
Ami’s eyes met Serena’s and realization hit her. “Do, do we tell them?”
“No, not yet. When the time is right, they will awaken, just as you and Zoisite did tonight. Queen Serenity wanted us to have a chance at a normal life. I will do what I can to make sure that happens. But we have to stop Beryl for that to happen.” Serena stated.
“You’re no longer alone. I will fight beside you.” Ami vowed.
Serena reached out and took Ami’s hand in hers. “Thank you, Ami.”

Luna sat at the console of the secret base she had created beneath the arcade. Frowning she read of the data. ‘Serena may trust Tuxedo Mask, but I still don’t. We still don’t know what his connection to the Princess and the Scouts are. Maybe Zoisite can be trusted, maybe not. I will keep an eye on them both.’
A soft laugh came through the screen. “Still untrusting as always.”
Luna looked at the screen. “Why won’t you tell me who you are?”
“It’s not quite time for that Luna. Just know that soon everything will be revealed. I understand that Sailor Mercury has awakened and so has General Zoisite.” The male voice said.
“Yes, tonight. How did you know that?” Luna questioned.
"You’re not the only one who was sent from the Moon to watch the Scouts.”
“Do you remember everything too? Like Serena?”
“No, sadly. I remember more than you yes, but there are still things that are hidden from me. For example, the identity of both the Moon Princess and the Earth Prince. I know both were reborn here with the Scouts and Generals. I also suspect that the Princess and Prince have awakened, and she has the Silver Crystal already. You said Serena said she knew where the Princess is and that it was safer to keep that information to herself. I believe she is right.”
“Very well, I will be patient then.” Luna sighed.
“Good, once all the Scouts are reunited and the Princess found I believe all of this will make more sense.” He said and the screen went black.
Luna shut down the console and left. She snuck out of the arcade and made her way back to the Tsukino house. It was dark when she slipped through the opened window that Ikuko had taken to leaving open for her. When she entered Serena’s room, she found the young woman already asleep. Luna smiled softly and hopped onto the bed to get some sleep herself.

Jadeite stood outside T.A. Girl’s Academy, leaning against a tree. Slowly, he watched as the students left the school. He quickly spotted the object of his…well obsession to be honest. Since the day he met her, Rei Hino was constantly on his mind. Hell, his dreams too.
“Jadeite? Is that you?” Rei asked, walking toward him.
“Yeah.” Jadeite smiled, pushing off the tree.
“Um, what are you doing here? I mean, I’m surprised actually.” Rei smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
“I’m here to see you. I was wondering if you wanted to go grab a cup of coffee. Maybe study or something. Unless you got plans or something.” Jadeite answered, suddenly feeling insecure.
Rei smiled and pulled out her phone. She sent out a text to the others telling them she had a study date with Jadeite, and they could reschedule their study buddy meeting today for a sleepover on Friday. The girls all texted back saying to have fun and they would see her Friday night.
“I’m free.” Rei beamed.
“Really?” Jadeite replied in surprise. “Great!”
Giggling, Rei nodded. When he offered her his arm, she slipped her arm through his and the two walked off toward the coffee shop Jadeite had fallen in love with his senior year of high school.
“How were your classes today?” Rei questioned.
“Pretty good. Yours?” Jadeite said.
“Not bad. I’m glad I’m a senior, that means I’m taking more of the classes I WANT to take.”
“I hear you there. University is the same way. I think that’s why I worked so hard beforehand. I always knew I wanted to study architecture, so I made sure I did everything I could to achieve that goal.”
“That sounds a lot like Ami. She wants to be a doctor like her mother. I guess it paid off since she already got into the pre-med program as a second year.”
As they walked into the café, Jadeite once again felt the feeling that he knew Rei. Like there was this invisible tether between them. Whatever this…connection was, he decided he would not fight it.
Rei slipped into the booth across from Jadeite. She had been so surprised to see him outside her school, yet the second she saw him her heart had fluttered. No, not just a flutter. This was something else. Something deeper. Like she knew him, everything about him. But that was crazy. Wasn’t it?

“Well, well. Once again you failed.” Pyrite chuckled.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Graphite hissed, spinning to face him.
“Beryl sent me to tell you, this is your last chance. You fail again and it’s the end of the line for you. Brother.” Pyrite sneered.
“No. No! She wouldn’t…” Graphite yelled.
“Oh, but she would. The pathetic energy you have captured is laughable. Beryl and Metallia are done being patient with you. This is your final chance Brother. You fail, you better hope those Sailor Scouts finish you off.” Pyrite said then vanished.
Graphite stood there, fists clenched, shaking in rage. No, no Beryl would not betray him like this. No more youmas. He would take care of this himself. He would eliminate Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask and the other two himself.
“You will die Sailor Moon. I swear it, I will kill you with my bare hands.” Graphite vowed.

Darien sat in his apartment reading when his doorbell rang. He marked his place in his book and sat it on the coffee table. Not expecting company, he walked to the door and looked through the peephole. His heart skipped as he quickly opened the door.
“Serena?”
“Hi. Um, I’m sorry for just dropping by like this. Zoisite, well, he gave me your address…”
Darien pulled her into his apartment and into his arms. Serena instantly stopped her babbling. Her arms slid around his waist as he held her close to him. Having her in his arms again like this felt so right. He remembered how it was back during the Silver Millennium.
“Darien?” she whispered.
“Sorry, I was just…” he started.
“Remembering?” she giggled.
Darien nodded. “I remember how you and I used to…”
Serena pressed into him more, “Used to sneak off just to be alone.”
“Serena.”
“Darien.”
Darien leaned in and pressed his lips to her. When she whimpered, something in him came alive. Tightening his hold on her, he deepened the kiss. He found himself moving and both moaned when Serena’s back ended up pressed against his door.
“God Serena…”
“Oh Darien.”
Slowly Darien looked down at her. Her cheeks flushed and her lips bruised from his kisses. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me.”
Serena smiled and lifted a hand to his cheek. “Darien, I know exactly what came over you. It’s the same thing that always came over the both of us whenever we are together.”
“We agreed to go slow. To not let the past rule us Serena.” He sighed, resting his forehead against hers.
“We did. But we are dating now, aren’t we?” she asked.
“Yes, we are.” He answered, lifting his head in surprise at her question.
“Then isn’t it natural for couples to make out?” she grinned with a wink.
Darien chuckled. He moved quickly and scooped her into his arms, earning him a surprised squeal. He carried her over to the sofa and sat down with her draped across his lap. Holding her, he cradled her head and their eyes locked. She lifted a brow at him, her eyes glittering mischievously.
“Well, you have me my Prince. What are you going to do now?” she challenged.
“I think I’m going to do this.” He countered before kissing her again.
Serena moaned into his kiss. Being held by Darien, being kissed by him was pure heaven. Like the other half of her very soul. Her arms wrapped around his neck as she gave into his kiss. She slid her tongue softly against his lips, asking for entrance. Darien groaned and his mouth opened for her. Their tongues met and intertwined, their arms tightening around one another.

Rei and Jadeite were laughing as they walked up the steps of the shrine. “Nephrite was so pissed; I was so sure he was going to hit me.”
“I would have. He spent all that time working on that cake and you just went and ate half of it.” Rei giggled.
“How was I supposed to know it was for a class.” Jadeite argued.
Rei just shook her head as the reached the top. “Well, I had a lot of fun today.”
“So did I.” Jadeite smiled, reaching for her hand.
“Um, what are you doing Saturday night?” she asked.
“I was kind of hoping I could see you after your friends leave.” He smiled.
“I was thinking the same thing. How about I call you after they leave?”
“I think you have a deal.”
“Then until Saturday, Jadeite.”
Feeling bold, Rei leaned in and kissed him softly. Before she could question her actions, Rei turned and hurried into the shrine. Jadeite however felt like he was on top of the world. As if in a daze, he left the shrine and headed home. He knew he had to smiling like an idiot, but he didn’t give a damn. Rei had just kissed him. This was the best day of his life.
