Rain
Chapter 6: Causes
Darkness seemed to be his only opponent as he punched in the air, beads of sweat flying off his heated skin. This was one of the few moments he had to himself. Even sleep was now occupied by his crewmates, well, one crewmate.
Spike sparred with the air around him, with the darkness that enveloped him like a cool blanket. Suddenly, light burst within the room, startling him slightly. Spike glanced to the door where Rain leaned against the doorframe. \"Evening,\" she greeted.
\"It\'s always evening here,\" he said as he gazed out inot the starfilled void of space.
\"True,\" she said as she handed him a ciggarette. \"Faye was looking for you,\" she stated.
\"I figured.\"
\"Aren\'t you going to find out what she wants?\"
\"She\'ll tell me weather I want to hear it or not,\" Spike joked.
Rain laughed.
\"Is that why you\'re here?\"
\"No,\" she answered.
\"Why are you here, then?\" He asked.
Rain sighed as she walked up to the clear glass before them, her shadowed reflection staring like an empty doll before her. An exact copy, but slightly distorted. \"No reason.\"
\"Wnat to spar?\" he asked.
Rain smiled and extinguished her ciggarette. \"Sure.\"
Spike smirked as he tossed the burning cancer stick aside and waited for her to make the first move.
Like a crane, Rain leapt into the air, the wieghtlessness of the cockpit giving her hie Spi Spike watched her as she then kicked off the cieling and slammed her bare foot into his chest. He grunted as he slid across the cold floor and hit a handrail only to have to block an incoming fist.
\"Energetinc tonight, eh?\" he asked.
Rain smirked. \"Should I not be?\" she asked as she blocked his attack.
Spike smirked as they continued to spar. After a few minutes of doging and blocking her swings, he had her pinned against the glass of the window. \"Yield?\" he asked.
Rain raised an eyebrow. \"Do I ever?\" she asked back as she then moved her leg around his and flipped him into his back. \"Do you?\"
Spike stared up at the lvely woman above him. Her hair, which was pulled back into a ponytail, now hung loose, creating a curtain between them and the world around them. Her gray eyes sprkled with a mischevious light as she panted heavily above him. He smiled as he pulled her foreward, pressing his lips to hers in an instant.
Rain\'s eyes widened with surprise as Spike rolled her over onto her back, his lips trailing down her neck. \"Spike...\" she whispered.
Spike grunted as his hands wandered up her black tank top and caressed her breasts. Rain gasped as he teased her nipples to attention. \"Spike... we can\'t!\" she managed to moan as he continued his erotic torture.
Spike couldn\'t hear her for the beating of her heart thumping in his ears. He wanted her now, damn the consequenses. Soon, they were both nude on the cold hard floor of the navigation deck, his body thrusting wildly into hers.
\"Spike... Spike... oh gods!... This is... we shouldn\'t... Oh gods!\" she attempted to speak.
Spike still couldn\'t hear her, his mind was feral, needing release. He continued to thrust within her writhing body, his climax nearing. Suddenly, he felt her body stiffen as she came, her muscles massaging his manhood, taking him with her into the warm oblivion of pleasure.
Rain gasped for breath as Spike collapsed to her body, for a while they lay there, basking in the afterglow. It was during that time that Faye had decided to look for Spike on the navigation deck.
\"Spike? I know you\'re in here! Spike what...\" her voice trailed off as she took in the scene before her. Spike and Rain lay naked and in each other\'s arms. She could feel the burning of tears as she gazed upon them. Rain had locked eyes with her, an apologetic look in her eyes. Faye looked away and choked back a sob.
Spike heard a stifled sob. Slowly, he looked over towards the door. Faye stood there, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked away from him. \"Faye...\" he began.
Faye stiffened. Didn\'t he know what this was doing to her? Why did he have to say her name like that? \"I\'ll leave you two to each other,\" she mumbled as she slipped out the door.
Spike then noticed that he was laying on top of something. Something soft and warm. he glanced down into the knowing and ashamed gray eyes of Rain. It was then that he realized what happened. Quickly, he stood and pulled on his black sweatpants. Rain slowly sat up and dressed herself sedately. \"Why didn\'t you listen to me?\" she whispered.
\"Huh?\" he asked.
\"I told you... I sad that we couldn\'t... but, you didn\'t hear me,\" she said as she stood.
\"Rain... I.\"
\"It\'sy, jy, just go talk to her,\" she sighed as she walked slowly out of the room, leaving Spike to his thoughts and the darkness of space around him.
