Green
Walking down the street to the building Tohma was supposed to be in, Ryuichi pulled his hat down lower over his eyes. There wasn’t that much of a chance of rabid fans in this area, but he didn’t want to risk it. It was gloomy out, and he started hoping it would rain—he still loved the sound and smell, despite the bad memories it brought. He looked up, checking his surroundings—it wouldn’t be good to miss the street, now would it?—and it started to rain. As everyone around him sped up, trying to get to wherever their destination was before they were soaked, he stopped, tilting his head to look up at the clouds.
There was a flash of gold in the corner of his eyes, and he watched as Tohma, oblivious to the singer’s presence, walked into a flower shop. There was a bench that allowed a view of the interior, and the brunet settled himself to watch his keyboardist. The blond wandered around, looking disinterested; then, he perked up, paying attention to something, Ryuichi couldn’t see what—his line of sight was blocked by the synth player’s back.
He turned, holding a beautiful bouquet—violets. The singer’s stomach sank, and he felt jealousy flare through him. Tohma was buying flowers, but he didn’t like them. So Tohma was buying flowers for someone else, which mean Ryuichi had competition—and was losing, because the blond had yet to show any renewed interest in him, much less enough to buy him flowers.
Infuriated and depressed, the singer stood, getting lost in the crowd quickly—Tohma could walk home by himself.

AN:
Okay, yes, it’s short. But, I couldn’t write more for this prompt, because the next one allows me such fun leeway. This story is going exactly the way I want it to, which makes me ecstatic—it’s the only one that is. Expect multiple updates on this one very, very soon. Probably two tomorrow or so.
Hope you liked! Tell me what you think.
