~~**Forever Caged**~
Entering the hotel room of Mark Riadson, Jared curiously looked around. Never had he ever entered a room for rent before. “I hope you are treated well here?” Jared said.
“Yes, they do a great job here,” Riadson answered.
Jared nodded elegantly as the older gentlemen motioned to the small seating area. “I also hope you were not insulted by the informal speech earlier,” said Jared as he sat.
“From the handsome black haired young man in Eos?” Riadson shook his head, laughing softly.
Jared’s fists clenched. Irrationally irritated by the admiration in the off worlder’s voice towards Riki’s looks. “Yes, Riki is a rather fine specimen, for a mongrel,” Jared replied lightly. “However, as I’d mentioned, it would be wise not to make it known of your interest in Riki.”
“Because he is the property of Iason Mink?” Riadson asked as he walked over and retrieved two glasses and a crystal bottle of dark golden liquid from a serving stand, placing all three on the glass table in front of Jared.
“Yes,” Jared said, accepting the small glass Riadson poured him. “It is also my advice to stay clear of Riki, should we return to Eos.”
Jared blinked as Riadson suddenly yanked at his neck tie, removing it with a smooth tug, and began unbuttoning the top buttons of his shirt. Jared could not look away from the smooth skin revealed, and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally firmness of the older man’s pecks he’d caught a glimpse of, before, disappointingly, Riadson shifted ever so lightly and the shirt covered him up.
“Forgive me, Sir Kyl, there is only so much of this monkey suit I can tolerate. I hope I haven’t offended you.” Riadson smiled charmingly at Jared.
“Not at all,” replied Jared. Although, the sight had made Jared uncomfortable only because it affected him in a very inappropriate way. Jared brought his drink to his lips and drank down the smooth, flavorful, liquor.
“Would you like another one?” asked Riadson.
Before Jared could agree or deny the offer, Riadson refilled his glass. Since the man was the last of his duties he needed to deal with for the day, Jared accepted the offering once again. Alcohol, especially the flavorful cognac served, had no effect on Elites, not in the paltry sum given. However, to smell like alcohol when one still had work to be done, was greatly frowned upon. As a Blondie, Jared needed to be above all who looked upon him.
“So this Riki you’ve warned be to stay away from. He is the lover of your great leader? I’d been under the impression Elites did not engage in the lower animal needs of satisfying their natural urges.”
Jared’s eyes watered as he a bit of alcohol went down his air way. Coughing delicately in his gloved hand, Jared smiled tightly. “I wouldn’t know.” Although he did. Everyone in Eos- everyone on Amoi more than likely- knew Iason Mink bedded his black haired pet.
“Then I guess suggesting a tryst of a more intimate setting is out of the question?” Riadson asked, grinning.
“With your advanced years, I do not believe you could survive a sexual encounter with one such as I.” Jared surprised himself in saying.
Riadison laughed. “I may look like I’m in my early forties, Sir Kyl, but I have the stamina of a twenty-two year old.”
Jared chuckled at Riadson’s humor, yet, within he went on high alert. What Riadson said in jest rang with truth, however, no matter how closely Jared looked- without seeming too obvious- he could not see anything which would indicate the man’s face was not his own. A body could be kept toned, and youthful in appearance, if worked on. While a face was a board nature used to tell all of the passing years of a human.
In his department, and in his line of work, Jared met and conversed with thousands of humans. He knew when one has had surgery to hold on to their dwindling freshness to hold back the decay of age. He’d also met with humans who idiotically thought he could not tell if they wore realistic silicone masks to try and hide their identity. Eos’s security facial scans would have also went on alert if they’d detected anything artificial on the man. Which it did not.
Jared dropping his search of the Riadson’s features when the man scandalously winked at him. From how quiet Riadson had been in the beginning when they first met. The silence and seriousness, to the carefree man he was now. Jared wondered what had turned the man around. What had he been shown… Jared’s eyes narrowed slightly, or is not a what but a who that changed Riadson’s attitude.
“I’d been pleasantly surprised when you’d contacted me Riadson,” Jared said, sipping from his glass. “I information I’d received-” From a pet who’s information had been correct-“ is that the shares of the company I wish to purchase were split between three men -of which I have yet found, and the owner. And yet you came with an offering of half of these shares from the owner. How did you manage this?”
Riadson laughed. “I gave him an offer he couldn’t refused.”
“Really…” Jared eyed the handsome green haired man. “I’d heard there’d been an assassin attempt on his life.”
Holding up his hands, Riadson shook his head, laughing. “I had nothing to do with the order to take Mr. George Marl’s life. I swear to you, Sir Kyl, I did not hire any assassins.”
Jared heard the truth ringing in Riadson’s voice, but it was the different humor which colored Riadson’s tone that made him suspicious. As if the man were saying a jest, and knowing he would not understand it.
The words in which Jared wanted to say stuck in the back of his throat when the older man placed his hot palm on his thigh. Sexual electricity of which Jared never experienced before shot up his body. Pooling uncomfortably between his legs.
“It’s a pity this is the first, and last, time we will ever met. I truly had a very entertaining time with you Sir Kyl,” Riadson sighed. “This face to face will not happen again. I will stay true to our agreement. The shares I acquired, I always planned on selling them, and your offer is one I cannot pass up on.”
Shocked, Jared could only think of the hand patting his leg.
“I thank you for the tour of your home, and of your world, and wish you the best of luck in all you do.” Riadson tossed back his drink, then stood in a hurry. “I will have my people contact your people.”
Standing as well, Jared numbly exited the human’s hotel room. And when the door close behind him, with a telling click of the lock being thrown. Jared wondered what happened.
Scowling, Jared pulled out his cell and called his Platina. There was something strange about the man, and Jared wanted to know everything he could about Riadson. From the man’s strengths and weaknesses.
Especially the man’s weakness.

Running to the bathroom, Rio nearly ripped the doors under the bathroom sink in his hast to open them. Pulling out a large black case, Rio pressed his hand flat on the center of the case. Blue light flashed up and down his hand before chiming, and it opened.
Opening the case, Rio picked up the bowl like machine from within and held it up to his face. Pressing the triangle buttons on the side, Rio’s shout of pain was muffled as he shocked himself, then again when he felt the organisms still clinging onto his face. Once Rio was sure all of them were off did he remove his face, and, panting, pressed a square button on the side, shutting the bowl shaped contraption.
Groaning, Rio fell backwards, and after a moment rubbed his tender, heated, cheeks. Wearing a living mask had been the only option after discovering the high tech security those Amoian Elites used. But it was always a gamble on how long the manipulated little creatures, molded into making him look old, would behave- how long he would have before they woke up and began moving, altering his masked face.
“I could have landed him too,” Rio moaned, thinking about the sexy, tall, blonde he’d spent the day with. Ah well, I’m here on business not pleasure. Sitting up, Rio pulled himself to a stand and looked at his young face in the mirror. Slightly redden in the cheeks, Rio turned on the faucet and slashed his face with cold water.
Ringing filled the small bathroom. Taking out his phone, Rio frowned at the number before answering. Turning on his scrambler so he couldn’t be traced, and voice modifier to hide his real voice, Rio answered, “I’m here.”
Listening to commanding voice on the other line, Rio held back his sigh of annoyance before saying, “I understand.” Then hung up.
“Damn Riki. You got a shit load of enemies, and I’ve only been here a day.” Laughing Rio stripped and made his way to his posh bedroom, wishing he could say longer. The luxury of sleeping in a real bed was something he didn’t get very often.
Pulling on a ridiculously expensive white shirt, which would have cost him five bucks on any other planet, as well as the black pants, Rio walked back to the bathroom and stared at his green hair, and pink eyes. Taking a calming breath Rio smiled as his eyes changed from an array of colors before he settled on a muddy brown, and the green in his hair darkened until it matched the new color of his eyes.
Changing his hair color at will was an interesting new talent he’d acquired after meeting, and hanging out with the strange, long, black haired Riki. He still didn’t understand what Riki did to him to give him this new gift, which was one of the reasons why he was on Amoi.
Running his fingers through his hair to remove Riadson’s look, and back to his own. Rio grabbed his heavy, weapon equipped, coat and made his way out of his room.
In the lobby Rio spied the Blondie, Jared, and unable to stop himself, he pretended to bump into the Elite just so he could touch his ass. Bowing respectfully at the Elite, and apologizing profusely, Rio grinned as he walked backwards as he said sorry again. Inwardly laughing uproariously at the look of outrage on Sir Jared’s face.
Outside Rio stepped into the foot traffic on the side walk and made his way towards the abandoned city Luke called Ceres. Running across the street, Rio winked at a couple of richly dressed straight laced looking men, and chuckled when they turned their noses up at him just as his phone ringed.
“Who do we have here?” Rio mumbled when there was no call back number. “This is me. How can I help you?” Rio said, answering the call.

Entering the his and Iason’s apartment, Riki told Lilly to take Jade into the living room. Barking at Cal to get some drinks for his kid, Lilly, and himself, Riki asked Iason calmly- who’d been silent the whole ride in the elevator, if he’d could call his Blondie military commander, Gideon, and update the Elite of Jerico’s actions.
Riki waited patiently as Iason stared at him- which seemed like forever- before Iason softly told Cal to bring the phone to him. While Iason went off to make his call, Riki, making sure his steps would not bring suspicion, made his way to Iason’s office and to his Blondie’s desk were he new housed a cell in which no call could be traced back to him.
Pulling out the card Rio gave him, Riki dialed and taped his foot impatiently for Rio to pick up his call.
“This is me. How can I help you?”
“What the fuck are you doing on Amoi!” Riki hissed, walking to the open doorway and peeking out to make sure Iason wasn’t around.
“Hey Riki! Whooha dude, I didn’t think you’d call me so soon.”
“What are you doing here Rio?” Riki repeated.
“Oh, harshness man. Where’s the love? No ‘hey, how you been doing?’ or ‘Did you and your guys get into any trouble trying to get Luke and those chicks off the planet overrun by those Blondie Elites henchmen?’”
“Hey Rio,” Riki said through clenched teeth, “how you been doing? Oh, and why the fuck are you here and why were you in Eos!”
“I’m doing great! Thanks for asking. Although my shoulder has been acting up because it rained yesterday. I’m getting some work done on my knee too. An old wound which aches like a bitch on cold-“
“No time for small talk Rio. I probably got less than thirty seconds before my Blondie comes to see what I’m doing. Talk.” Riki walked back to Iason’s desk and sat down.
“Fine, fine. I’m on a job, and Luke wanted to come ‘home’ so here we are.”
“You’re on a job?” Riki grew deadly still. “If you’re here for Iason Mink then-“
“Hold up! No need get all protective on me, and you can keep your warnings, and threats. I’m not the smartest of killers Riki, but I’m not stupid either. You think I haven’t done my homework? I know who your man is, and I know how much fire power he’s got at his finger tips. No assassin has been able to take him down, and I’m not going to bet my life trying to see if I’m going to be the lucky s.o.b to get him.”
“If you’re not here to kill Iason, then who is your job?” Riki asked.
“Ah well, that’s kinda complicated.”
“Spill, Rio,” Riki growled.
“Well, I’m not here to kill your man, but one of my jobs is to kill an Elite.”
Riki stilled. “Who?”
“Ah uh. Can’t tell you. The whole client confidentiality thing, ya know?”
Riki’s mind raced. But there were too many candidates. He believed Rio when he said he wasn’t after Iason, but all Elites were powerful, and had their hands in many dealings which would leave a bitter aftertaste of many off worlders mouths.
“You said ‘one of your jobs’. What is your other job Rio,” Riki asked, glancing at the door.
“You, dude. I’m here to rescue you. Kidnap you, and kill you. I just got the order from a third party to bury your ass, and the pay is oh so tempting.”
“You really think you can kill me?” Riki snickered.
“From three buildings away on the top floor, with a gun pointed at you from an open window, yeah. Well, in the past I would have thought so, but from the failure earlier this afternoon. I see not even that would work. Body shield. These Elites have some crazy high tech toys.”
“One of your guys is the one who fucking shot me with that fucking dart?” The cell suddenly plucked from his hand, Riki eyes shot up to burning ice blue eyes, warning him to say nothing as Iason brought the phone to his ear.
“The stupid prick who shot you wasn’t one of mine Riki. You can trust me on that one.”
“Then who, pray tell, is he?” Iason asked softly.
Riki outwardly flinched at Iason’s cold, deadly, tone.
“Crap.”
Riki heard everything Rio said, as well as the telling click as the call of disconnected leaving him to deal with an angered Iason.
