CHAPTER VII
AFTER SHOPPING
Shuichi woke up with a very sore ass. He is still contemplating at the events that transpired last night. He didn’t mean it to go that far. He just wanted to see him and make sure that he’s alright. He looked at the clock and decided to get up from bed and go shopping. He only has a month to get himself together. But thinking back at what happened the last 11 months, he is sure that nothing really changed. Sure he learned a lot of things but they were not close enough to his goal. He still feels that void in his heart devouring every emotion. Realizing that no matter how much he thinks, he would not find the piece of then puzzle that will fill that void; he commenced his plan to go shopping. He took a shower, brushed his teeth, wore a blue shirt and tight leather shorts, put on his contact lenses and grabbed his sun visor.
Shuichi strolled down the different boutiques and found himself carrying a lot of shopping bags. He bought everything that he wanted. After a few more hours of shopping, he heard his stomach grumbled and he complied with its wishes. He took the elevator and made his way in the food court on the northern most part of the mall in the second floor.
Meanwhile, a very familiar yet hurting blonde was sipping his coffee in the food court of the same mall. Eiri took himself shopping and decide to buy some grocery. Actually, he just wanted to forget that he had sex with a complete stranger last night. He doesn’t want to remember that he broke his oath so he decided to take as much time as he can away from his own apartment. Then the emotions of regret, sorrow and dirtiness came flushing in his system as he saw the stranger he had sex with, carrying lots of shopping bags. He wanted to leave but something inside made him stay and it seems to draw him to the person that looks like his, well was, pink-haired baka. He watched the boy eat and he remembered the times when he was eating with Shuichi. He would always yell at him but the persistent brat puts and then suddenly embraces him. He wasn’t exactly sure why this stranger was making him remember the one thing that he loves most in his life.
Eiri was snapped out of his thoughts when he suddenly noticed that the boy was leaving his table. Eiri decided to follow the boy and in consequence, he totally forgot his shopping and grocery bags. He followed the boy out of the mall and into the streets of Tokyo. It was dark already and he didn’t even noticed that time passed. He glanced down in his wristwatch. It was 8:00 p.m. and he needed to get home, but he doesn’t want to lose the man his after.
Eiri just stood there amidst in the crowds having a mental battle with his self. Will he go? Or not? This question gave him a major headache and forced him to decide to go home. Well, another reason was when he’s in the middle questioning of himself; he lost the boy he’s following.

Shuichi took a deep breath as he entered his apartment. He dropped his bags and made his way to the kitchen were he fixed himself some dinner. Then he went to the bathroom and took a shower. He was well aware that Eiri was watching him eat lunch and that he also followed him. It was a good thing for Shu that it’s Saturday and the streets of Tokyo are very busy. It was a very close call for him. It was really hard for him to just walk away when all he really wanted is to jump on the older man and never let go.

Eiri frowned as he entered his own apartment. He could believe himself that he lost his target. He sighed as he remembered that he left his grocery bags in the food court. Feeling very tired, he lazily went to the kitchen and got a can of beer. After finishing his drink, he went to his bedroom and slept.
After a few hours of sleep, the grumpy author was woken up by a nasty phone call.
“What?” Eiri yelled. He really didn’t want to deal with anyone else especially if the call woke him up. He got more irritated when no one answered him.
“What the hell do you want Tohma?” He added.
Tohma chuckled and started the conversation, “Good morning to you too.”
“I asked what the hell do you wanted.” Eiri asked again.
“Well, I want you to come here at my office tomorrow around 10:00 am.”
“What for?” Eiri wondered.
“You’ll know everything tomorrow” ‘Well almost everything,’ Tohma mentally added.
“Fine!” Eiri shouted before slamming the phone. ‘This should teach him a lesson,’ He thought and smile resided in his lips.

Shuichi’s phone rang. He hurriedly answered it and was utterly shocked. Tohma called him just after Tohma called Eiri.
“Good morning, Tohma” Shuichi politely greeted.
“Good morning to you too, Shuichi” Tohma answered.
“What do you want?” Shuichi wondered.
“I need you to go to my office tomorrow at around 10: am,” Tohma replied.
Now it was getting suspicious for Shuichi. He knew what was coming but he still has a month. He wasn’t sure what Tohma was really up to but then again no one really knows. And playing along with Tohma, he asked him why he wanted him in his office.
“I’m sorry Shuichi but we really need to end this façade of yours. Even though I promised a whole year, we need to end this for your career’s sake. You have to find another way to avoid Eiri if you’re not ready.” Tohma responded.
Shuichi felt confused. What was he going to do in order to avoid Eiri. He was really not ready to confront him. He need a little more time to think and it would be hard with Eiri around. He loves the man but he wasn’t sure if things will be alright. Even though he heard his confession on Tohma’s office, he was not really sure if everything will be alright because for the past 11 months, he learned that love was just a key part in a relationship. There are other factors to be considered. Shuichi really needed to be ready, to devise a plan and he only has a few hours.
