Off to Cerulean
Wow, no comments. o_O Ooer. This is a rare, weird occurrence...I guess I don\'t chapter a day after the last one, but hey, I have free time.

Brimming with pride from her first victory and her first league badge, nothing could keep Angel from brimming with joy. Even Moonlight seemed a smidgeon extra proud of himself, as they strode out from the Pokecenter. She\'d only narrowly won, but she did, and she\'d done it at a type disadvantage.
"I told you I was going to win!"
"Well, good. So much for the easy part." Angel\'s heart fell a little.
"That was the easy part?"
"Mmhm. Each Gym leader gets progressively harder, stronger, and tougher. You can\'t simply rely on strategy and level to win you your fight. You\'ve got to abuse type disadvantage. You do that by trying to cover as much as the common type disadvantages as possible. For instance, you\'ll have a near impossible time beating the elite four without a water, electric, and fire type. You\'ll need to have a rock or ground type, psychic, fighting, flying, dark or ghost, maybe grass."
"But, if I can only have six pokemon, how can I have all those types?"
"Dual Types." Gary replied, as they stepped inside Rock Tunnel. By the time they got out, it would be nearly dark.
"Pokemon have two types?"
"Some do. Your Eevee only has the one, but Pokemon like Magneton or Exeggutor have two. Optimally, you can have up to 12 types covered. But your choices are limited if you want 12 types covered, here in Kanto."
"What do you mean?"
"No one\'s told you about the other regions?"
"I knew there was other regions."
"Well, there are in total, well over 450 pokemon, including all evolutions. But here in Kanto you can usually only find 150."
"Well THAT\'S not very helpful."
"No - but, you can look forward to training new pokemon once you get to Johto."
"If we make it there." Gary frowned at the subtle reminder of their true mission. The chances of them succeeding and coming out alive was slim to none - Team Rocket was stupid, but ruthless. But as Champion, he had a responsibility to protect the people of Kanto. Angel wouldn\'t have it any other way, either; helping was something that was going to happen whether he liked it or not.
"...Well, here\'s my pokedex....Think about what pokemon you\'re going to catch." he spoke, breaking the silence as pulled out the red device, and handed it to Angel as he put his foot on the rung leading up to the second section of Rock Cave. Why did this damn cave have to be so long?
Sighing softly, Angel took the pokedex, and followed Gary down.
"Look, I\'m sorry. I guess I shouldn\'t say stuff like that. We\'ll get them, every last one of them."
"The cell that\'s here isn\'t the end of them, Angel. Giovanni has many factions and cells around Kanto. They\'ve taken over Sylph Co, and we\'re going to save the company. But that isn\'t the end of them. We\'re going to chase down Giovanni, and take him down. There\'s no sense taking on every single member. We\'ll sneak in, and take down the head."
"What makes you so sure that Giovanni will just back down after we beat him?" For once, Gary had no response. Maybe he wouldn\'t; but he would still be beaten, and wouldn\'t be able to call himself an undefeated leader. "I mean, can\'t he just turn around and keep leading the goons?"
"I don\'t think so. If you were a crime boss and some kid came and beat you, would YOU want to keep leading your goons?"
"I guess not." Angel replied, though mostly absorbed with scrolling through the pokedex. "I hope you\'re right..."

As Gary stepped out of the insanely long cave, followed shortly behind by Angel, the low light of the setting sun hit his eyes. Was it to be one of the last sunsets he\'d ever see?
"Have you decided what pokemon you\'re going to catch and train for the elite four, Angel?"
"Not all of them, no. But, I\'d like to find a Ninetails, Poliwrath, and Magneton...I\'m not sure about the other two. Maybe Aerodactyl and Exeggutor...But I\'m keeping Moonlight, even if he\'s only a normal type."
"Why don\'t you let Moonlight evolve into a type you want? Then you can keep him, and free up a spot for another pokemon?" Angel glanced down at the Eevee, who\'d until now thought it best to keep quiet.
"Well, Moonlight? Do you want to evolve? Maybe into a Vaporeon?" Moonlight paused, and seemed to be thinking. After a moment, he shook his head, as the sun finally slipped past the horizon, and disappeared.
"Vee..."
"Well, what about a Jolteon?" Again, Moonlight shook his head. "Hmm. Flar-" Angel started, scrolling to the third and final evolution listed in the pokedex.
"Vee!" Moonlight exclaimed. It wasn\'t any of those three that he wanted to be; whatever it was, it was happening. It felt right. His fur started to shine, and glow a steady white.
"What\'s happening, Gary?!" Angel exclaimed, worried about her pokemon.
"He\'s evolving. But, so quickly?"
"What is he evolving in to?..."
"Just watch."
Before her eyes, her little Eevee was changing. His ears grew longer, and his form grew a full two feet larger. As the white faded away, the little Moonlight had completely changed. His silver fur had gone a solid, shiny black color, and his fur was adorned with little patches of deep sky blue.
"Breon!"
"Wow! Your pokedex said nothing about this one! What is it?!"
"That is a Johto pokemon, second generation. He\'s not supposed to evolve until he\'s in Johto, but maybe his bond with you has overridden that prerequisite. My Kadabra evolved into Alakazam without trading the same way..."
"Yeah but what IS it?"
"Umbreon!" Moonlight volunteered, smiling as he glanced over himself. He looked awesome.
"You\'re going to have a lot of questions about him, just so you know..." Gary smirked, as he walked into the PokeCenter. They\'d pitch tent after, but for now, he was hungry.

Short and mostly boring conversation, but I had to do it. The next chapter will be better, I promise. ^.~
