Kay: Hehehe some chapters are harder to get out of me than others. It took so long to get to the part that I really wanted to write, and now that I've gotten here, the words are coming in faster (*^^*)
i would say the kids are just little blood lusty demons, and thats why there were going wild. The need to see Riki kick that guy's ass made them go crazy rather then them getting infected by Riki. :D
Hope you all enjoy this chapter :D

Lilly grit his teeth in annoyance as one of the gang leaders he and Sky had been ordered to find kept sniffing him. “Go. Away!” Lilly growled.
“A pretty thing like you needs a strong man to protect him,” The beefy gang leader said, trying to put his arm around Lilly’s shoulder.
Having been advised by Sky to keep his gift a secret until they really needed it, Lilly used his head, and slammed it down onto the man’s nose. Forehead stinging, and the beginning of a headache forming, Lilly grinned in satisfaction when the telling sound of the leader’s nose breaking filled the air, and blood spurted from his nostrils.
“You fucking—!”
“Uh huh, Links.” Crystal blades appeared under the man’s throat, and Lilly breathed a silent breath of relief as Sky appeared, winking at him.
“Now, I know you’re not messing with my boy. Not after I told you to leave him the hell alone, are you?” Sky said, nicking Link’s neck with his glittering knives.
“I just wanted to say hi?” Link gasped, blood pouring down his face.
Sky tsked. “Are you stupid? If I’m following him, don’t you think there’s a reason why?” Laughing eyes turned to Lilly. “Are you alright, sir?”
It took a moment before Lilly realized Sky as talking to him, and, regally, Lilly nodded sharply. Going into Ceres, Lilly had been horrified at how the natural born were treated. Having never been anywhere close to the part of the city Sky had ordered the driver to stop, Lilly had been expecting the area they were going to be bad… but not as bad as what he’d finally seen.
Sky had quickly purchased the cloths off a couple mongrels backs with the clothing off their backs. With his sparking knives twirling between his fingertips, Sky, edgy, told Lilly of Riki’s plans and Lilly had been frightened at first, but the feeling of fear had quickly faded.
Lilly had thought about all his friends, and his family back on his home planet. The thought of someone hurting them had Lilly agreeing to help. Riki and everyone else were like a family to him too, and he wanted to offer his assistance anyway he could.
However, Lilly had still been uneasy. Just by how he looked, everyone could clearly see he wasn’t one of them, which was why Sky cooked up the story of him being an outcast from his home world, banished for his ‘extreme cruelty’, ‘blood lust’, and ‘demonic pleasures’.
They had only been in Ceres for an hour at most when Lilly heard whispers from passing mongrels that he’d been found bathing in the blood of his enemies, and had killed a hundred men before his planet had thrown him out.
And even though Lilly had heard Sky had not been in Ceres for years, they all seemed to know him. At first there were smiles of greeting, but—and Lilly was only guessing—when they realized Sky wasn’t Fidget, they scattered like insets.
“You must admit, Sky, your ‘friend’ is nothing like we have even seen around here before.” A tall, skinny, mongrel Sky had warned Lilly to watch his back around, said.
Acting the part—or more like, acting like Mikhale—Lilly arrogantly lifted his chin and with a cold voice that could form icicles from the gutters, Lilly sneered, “My face has nothing to do with the business I have with you today.” Lilly glared at all the faces around the long table of which he sat amongst four other mongrels besides Link, whom Sky still held his blades at his throat. “I am just a representative since my boss is unable to come here to speak with you personally.”
“Oh?”
Lilly held back his grimace of pity, the mongrel who spoke had the most awful scar which made him look as if his left side of his face had been clawed by a rabid animal, and not—as Sky told him—from an enraged lover.
“And who is you ‘boss’ if there really is one?”
“Are you that stupid, Kimsen? If Sky is watching his back, and following his orders, who do you think this badass, pretty boy, is working for?” The muscular, short white haired, mongrel named Cid said, winking at Lilly.
“What the hell are you and Norris doing here, Cid?” Link snarled the moment Sky stepped away from him. “Bison is dead! Your gang has no leader, and you only have two members left, one of the members being you. You two shouldn’t be here!”
“That is where you are wrong, Link,” Norris said grinning.
Lilly didn’t know how many times Sky would turn to him before he’d get use to the light blue haired mongrel looking at him for approval before speaking. “Tell them,” Lilly said, waving his hand arrogantly.
Sky stepped forward. “Bison has a leader, and it is at his command that I have brought The jewel—“ Lilly frowned in annoyance at the nick name Sky gave him—“to come and see you.”
The gang leaders muttered amongst themselves in surprise at Sky’s words.
“Riki is dead!” Link shouted. “All this crap about people seeing him is all lies! That fucking black haired bastard was killed by the Elites! Everyone knows this.”
Around the table, the men shook their heads at Links stupidity.
— “Are you an idiot, Link? Riki was seen racing the streets of Midas not even a week ago!”
—“They say he’s living the good life in Midas after striking it rich in the black market!”
—“Yea, and they also say he’s the pairing partner of a fucking Blondie. Stop sprouting nonsense, Kimsen!”
Standing to gain everyone’s attention, Lilly stared coldly at the men until they shut their mouths. “Riki is alive, and he is not happy.”
“Riki is alive and I saw him,” The mongrel, Norris, said from Cid’s side. “I was out getting the brats who snuck out rob tourists in Midas when Riki came roaring up on a hover bike. Before the cops got him, I told him of the disappearances.”
“And it is because of that, that Riki is pissed,” Sky said, cleaning under his nails with his crystal blades. “To think that none of you did anything to help our kind from the asshole who’s hurting our ‘brothers’, and he’s coming back to kick you asses for letting it happen and to make sure it never happens again, Ceres style.”
Lilly wasn’t quite sure what ‘Ceres style’ meant, but from the pale faces around the table, Lilly knew it wasn’t good.
“Yea? Even if Riki does come back, how the fuck does he think do what we couldn’t? What power does he have, huh? He’s just a fucking mongrel, just like the rest of us,” Link sneered, and around them, the other leaders nodded in agreement.
Lilly shared a look with Sky, his turn to ask permission while trying not to look like he was, and with signaled by the slight up turn of Sky’s lips, Lilly announced, “The rumor you heard of Riki being with an Elite is true. However, Riki’s pairing partner is not just any Elite, but Iason Mink, Tanagura’s Syndicate leader, and, as of yet, crowned ruler of Amoi.”
“You also know how Riki is when he gets angry,” Sky added. “And even if Riki wasn’t the pairing partner of this powerful Blondie. Do you really wanna fuck with him? Do you really think you’d be able to take him on?”
“And check this.” Cid grinned. “You all know how Riki is. Do you really think he willingly became this Blondie fucker’s partner?”
Lilly quickly picked up what Cid was trying to say. “My boss, Riki, has been bottling up his rage from the time I met him. Now he’s been released, and who do you think he’s going to focus all his anger?”
All around them, the worried mutters of the mongrels filled the room.
Sitting back down, Lilly could hear his heart as it beat franticly in his chest. Sky gave him a nod. They had done it. They got the major Ceres gang members on their side.
“Now, gentlemen,” Lilly began emitting a slight scent, a little something the others—not counting Sky—wouldn’t notice so they’d be calm and wouldn’t bicker. “There is another matter in which needs attention. We are searching for a man we believe to be hiding in Ceres.”
oOoOoOo
On his balcony, Mikhale brought his delicate tea cup to his lips ad took a sip. Sighing, he raised his face to the fading warmth of the setting sun. Less than two hours to go before Lilly came home to him safely.
For all his confident words, Mikhale had fought with all his strength not to lock Lilly in the apartment upon hearing what Iason wanted from his beautiful lover. The blinding fear that he had not succeeded in finding a way to making sure Lilly would return to his side haunted Mikhale. After all, it had only been a month since he’d forcibly made Lilly come back to Eos with him.
Although he had done his best to make up for his cruelty, Mikhale still had his doubts. And while the knowledge that Lilly would not be accompanying Riki out into the city had eased most of his anxiety, the fact that Lilly would be with Aisha’s cold eyed mongrel had not helped.
“They should have been back by now!”
Mikhale pursed his lips in annoyance. “Aisha,” Mikhale said tightly. “Please explain to me why you find it necessary to be here with me?”
The agitated Blondie glared at him. “Why? Because your pet is with mine! It is only logical we be together until they return.”
“Should anything happen, Iason and I will be the first to know,” Mikhale said, setting his cup down. “All we can do is wait.”
Mikhale sighed as Aisha sat down. “There is no need for you to hover, Aisha. If I hear anything, I promise you, I will inform you post haste.” Just as Iason’s black market lordship was left unspoken, so was his. Mikhale’s ‘ruler ship’ was watching and listening for any unseemly things on Amoi, to be the one to ‘deal’ with certain ‘problems’ before they brought disgrace to Tanagura, such as the destruction of the academy which created Lilly.
While Iason was the life—the main supporting pillar—of Amoi. Mikhale was the sword, the Blondie who made sure Iason would never have to completely dirty his hands. The Blondie who made sure the doings of the other Elites did not bring shame upon them. Not like Iason didn’t mind getting his hands dirty, not with his scandalous history with Riki.
Mikhale was the Blondie who was born and taught to make sure Iason would never fall…and he had nearly failed when Iason had nearly been killed by a filthy mongrel. To his brethren he was in charge of making sure the academy pets were up to Elite code, and the selling of pets were only to the richest of galaxies. However, behind closed doors his duties were much more difficult.
Iason had many enemies, and keeping tabs on them were tiresome. It was impressive the vast amount of shady governments, and government officials, who wanted Iason dead. And that was just the ‘genteel’ side of his list.
Iason, of course, knew what he really did. Mikhale’s faith in Iason wouldn’t be as strong as it were if he could hide it from his leader. They never spoke of it, but Mikhale knew by the little comments Iason would say to him in the past.
“What do your spies tell you?”
Startled, but expertly hiding it, Mikhale lifted a questioning brow to Aisha’s question. “Pardon?” His aggravated brother glared at him.
“Do not tell me you do not have people whispering into your ear of the secret on goings, Mikhale. I would not believe you, and before you deny it, I too have eyes and ears, but they are telling me nothing.”
Mikhale elegantly nodded. Yes, he had spies. A handful of them were also in Iason’s pocket. However, the few who weren’t, he never met them in person. Ever. Opening his mouth, Mikhale was about to answer when the tablet next to his cup chimed.
Typing in his encrypted password, Mikhale frowned at the message he received from one of his spies. “It seems the word coming loudly from Ceres is that there is a new ‘player’ in town.”
“And?!” Aisha demanded.
Mikhale was tempted to keep silent, but couldn’t help feeling pity for Aisha whom leaned forward, waiting impatiently for him to continue speaking. He knew how difficult if was to control the emotions the mongrel no doubt brought out in Aisha, or how it was now curdling in Aisha’s gut.
“And this player has the backing of someone called The Deadly One, and has taken control of the gangs of Ceres.” The muscle in Mikhale’s jaw ticked angrily. “They are calling this man ‘The Jewel’, because of his beauty.” It also said that The Jewel—who Mikhale knew to be Lilly—had gained the title of ‘The second man everyone wanted to fuck’.
Reading that Lilly fell behind someone else didn’t calm Mikhale down one bit, and knew Iason—when his leader received the same message he did—would not be happy that Riki held the number one position.
“Who is The Deadly One?” Aisha asked. “The Jewel is easy to identify, but not the other.”
Mikhale was amazed at Aisha’s lack of understanding. “Lilly and your mongrel entered Ceres together, Aisha. Now, I’m assuming, since your mongrel is from Ceres, he would have already established himself. Who do you think The Deadly One could be?”
Aisha leaned back in his chair. “No. I refuse to believe it is Sky.”
Mikhale placed his tablet back on the table and picked up his cooled cup of tea. “Then maybe now is the best time to discover who you’ve taken into your possession.” Looking back out over the city, Mikhale silently went back to counting down the minutes until Lilly came back to him.
Because if Lilly did not come back, then Mikhale would indeed go into Ceres and get him, and Jupiter forgive anyone who thought to get in his way.
oOoOoOo
“How did it get like this?!”
“This?!” Sky laughed at Lilly’s shouted question. “This is nothing! Just a happy greeting!”
Ducking quickly down as a bullet nailed the wall an inch away from his head; Sky dusted the red dust from the brick wall off this shoulder, before unzipping the duffle bag he’d been carrying. “Nosler is the only gang leader we haven’t talked to, and we’ll need him and his members to protect the western areas of Ceres. This plan won’t work without him.”
Sky took out his modified cannon he’d left at Norris’s partners place before they had rescued Riki. “We just need to be calm and rational, and Nosler will speak with us,” Sky said, smiling as he put the cannon down and carefully—within the bag—unwrapped the tattered cloth from around the large, silver, shell that had been hidden within the folds.
“What is that thing?” Lilly asked, his eyes wary.
“This,” replied Sky, loading his launcher and grunted as he heaved and balanced it on his shoulder, “is my white flag of peace.”
“Do you think this is wise?” Lilly asked as he peeked at the crazy mongrel shooting at him from the porch of the rundown house.
“Wise? Probably not, but this is the only chance I have to test this puppy out.” Advising Lilly not to stand behind him, giddy with excitement, Sky quickly stood, aimed for the top floor of the two story house, and pulled the trigger.
There was a disappointing hiss as the launcher fired, but Nosler, and Nosler’s men running from the house, shouting in fear and his missile sped towards them made up for the lack of explosive ejection from the weapon.
Sky giggled as the missile created a hole the size of his body in the siding of the house. Counting to ten, Sky bust into laughter when— as designed to do—the rocket discharged, and whole roof exploded up into the air. The ground literally shook from his little toy.
“Damn you, Sky! You fucking bastard!”
Sky cheerfully waved to Nosler as the mongrel dodged the burning debris falling from the sky. “Oh, yea. Looks like Nosler’s schedule just opened up.”
Lilly shook his head. “You are crazy. What makes you think he’ll talk to us now?”
Sky put his launcher back in its bag. “What? This isn’t the first time I’ve done this to one of his hideouts. Why do you think he started shooting at us, and shouting “Not this one! Not this one!”? It’s because I have a little bit of pyromaniac tendencies when I see him.”
Lilly laughed. “You didn’t set fire to his house, you blew it up!”
Sky shrugged. “Tomato, tomahto. No matter how pissed he is, I just made the opening we needed for you to get close to him, and his people, so you can do your thing.”
“Ahh…I don’t think so…”
Sky looked in annoyance as Nosler and his gang, pissed as hell, came barreling at them. “Well, I didn’t say getting close to him wouldn’t hurt, did I?” Silently apologizing to Lilly, Sky unsheathed his crystal knives. He’d purposely excelled the situation to what it was now.
The mongrels he’d gotten into fist fights with hadn’t been nearly enough to eat away his anger and fear, his hidden rage for getting captured by the Blondies. If he had kept his head cool, he would have known that they wouldn’t have harmed Keita, and he could have planned a rescue mission.
And his fear…
His fear that Keita would fall in love with his Blondie, and leave him behind…
“Shit. We aren’t going to make it back in time if we fight them,” Lilly hissed. “Mikhale will not be happy.”
Sky purred with pleasure as Nosler got closer to them. “You can’t please everyone Lilly. Don’t worry so much about Mikhale.” His heart thundering with excitement, Sky shifted his body, readying himself for a good fight.
“Until you’ve been punished in bed by your Blondie, and experience getting close to heaven only to have that bliss repeatedly ripped away from you for hours at a time, don’t tell me not to worry,” Lilly growled as he took his place by Sky’s side.
“Then we better win this fight, right?” Sky laughingly said just as Nosler reached his side, the mongrel’s meaty fist already swinging down towards Sky’s face.
oOoOoOo
“Katze,” Iason greeted, his tone making it clear how displeased he was. “How disappointed you must be that Raoul was not the one to pick up, who is currently locked in his lab. I thought you might call him if a problem arose, so I took his phone.”
“Sir Iason, forgive me. I did not want to interrupted you, so I called Sir Am.”
“No apology is necessary, Katze. However, I am curious as to why Riki has been ignoring my calls.” Ignoring all of his phone calls, however, Iason left that part of their conversation unspoken.
“Forgive me again, Sir Iason. Riki and I separated ways after we exchanged greetings with Judd Kuger. I was not aware you were trying to contact him.”
“That much is obvious, Katze.” Iason glared at the guard in blocking his way until the man wisely tripped over his feet to get out of his way. “Where is Riki now?”
“Riki is the reason why I called. Riki has… become unlike himself at the moment, which is another reason why I have not transferred my cell to him so you may speak to him…”
“Clarify, Katze,” Iason ordered. Even though Iason had used the tracking device embedded in Riki’s ring to reassure himself Riki was in Guardian, Iason still had not been able to extinguish his anxiety that something had happened to Riki. Past fears were not easily forgotten, and while Guy was dead, the fear Riki would be taken again remained alive.
“…It is as if he’s…”
“Become a wild animal?” Iason said as he reached his destination.
“Yes.”
“So I see,” Iason said, disconnecting his call with Katze, as he no longer needed it because he now stood behind his black market overseer.
