Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon nor the characters in it. I make no money out of writting this. |
(This story takes place in the Pokemon world, but not in the movies or TV show. Rather this takes place in the game FireRed. It's a look at the game and it's characters and just how overall silly it can be sometimes. I do not own Pokemon or any of the characters in the game. I am happy to accept criticism, but not trolls. Flaming my story will not help to improve it. If there are errors that I somehow missed or you have a suggestion for how you think the story could be improved I would love to hear it.
As for any smut that may take place you might notice I don't really have anything specific listed for this story because I am unsure of what might happen, if anything at all. If there is a chapter with smut in it I will be sure to warn you as well as put up what content is in the chapter.
Some of you, if you go to my Profile, might notice I have a similarly titled story called Pokémon Hoenn that was posted quite some time ago. I stopped uploading it because of my personal life, things getting far too hectic, and am unable to continue it for now because I have unfortunately lost the game. I am working on replacing it though so hopefully I can get started on that one as well.
Well enough of this boring talk. To the ten percent of you that have actually red through this, enjoy the story!)

She had been waiting for this day all of her life. The day that would change her life. The day she turned ten and was legally able to go out on her own Pokémon adventure! The prospect of having friends who could breathe fire, shoot out water or whip someone with living vines was amazing! Tammy stared at the torn out magazine posters on her wall. Three different Pokémon, Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur, who would she picked. She had wondered this for years, but now that the day was here the pressure was on. Each one had their strength and weaknesses. Really it just seemed like she should go with personal choice, but she wanted them all!
She gave one more look around to her little room. A simple bed, a computer, a bookshelf filled from top to bottom with books about Pokémon, a T.V. and her very old Nintendo 64 system. She stood there by the stairs, dressed in her outfit, a white hat to help with the sun, a blue T-shirt, a red skirt, blue socks with blue stripes and her white shoes. Ok…so maybe she wasn’t exactly a fashion diva, but it worked well enough, right?
With a deep breath she walked down the stairs, greeted by the rather sad face of her mother, who was sitting in their living room. “Right.” She said with a little smile as she saw an overeager Tammy come downstairs. “All girls dream of traveling. It said so on T.V.”
Tammy rolled her eyes and sighed. “Mom, just because the T.V. said it, does not mean it’s true.” Her mother tended to blindly believe anything their television said. “Oh yes…” Her mother said, ignoring her comment. “Professor Oak, next door, was looking for you.” She went silent after that, nursing a small cup of tea in her hands and sipping on it.
Tammy felt a bit guilty for leaving her mother, but she knew the woman was proud of her for going off on her own adventure. “Don’t worry mom, I’ll be fine.” She said, heading out the door. Ah yes…Pallet Town. Well, not so much of a town as it was three buildings. Two being houses and the other being Professor Oak’s Lab. Despite the Towns small stature this little place often got visitors because of Professor Oak’s research. He was rather famous for his works, though Tammy personally knew of none of them. This place was surrounded by forest, with only a small river and a small path into the trees leading out of this place. Most took the forest path as taking the river meant you needed a boat or a Pokémon who knew Surf.
She ran over to the large lab, shoving open the doors. There were stacks of books on shelves and people doing…lab stuff she supposed. Oh who cared she was going to get a….she passed as she saw someone already inside, someone far too familiar. Her next door neighbor and arch-enemy Gary! That smug look on his face, his spiky dirty blond hair...or maybe it was a light brown? Uh…not that is mattered. He was waiting there by a set of three Poké Balls looking a bit impatient. He groaned when he saw her, crossing his arms.
“What do you want?” he said irritably. She opened her mouth to start explaining things when he cut her off. “Oh I get it. You’re here to get a Pokémon! Well Gramps isn’t around so bug off.”
“Do you know where he is?” she huffed. Yes, this brat was the grandson of the great Professor Oak. It was funny how the universe would work sometimes.
“No. And even if I did I wouldn’t tell you.” Well he wasn’t going to help her, so she would have to either wait or try to find the Professor on her own. The last thing she wanted to do was to wait here with…him. She headed out, sighing. “Come on, he had to know we were coming today. No way he just forgot.” She looked everywhere for him, and in this tiny place it did not take her long to realize he was probably out somewhere else. She was about to go home when she saw the grassy path leading out of the town. Sure, tall grass could be dangerous, it had wild Pokémon in it…but still…the temptation to go out there and see just one was too great.
She looked around for a moment before walking over to the grassy path. She was about to take her first step in before she heard a familiar voice. “Wait!” She turned around and oh you had to be kidding! There he was, striding to her. Where had he been? “It’s unsafe! Wild Pokémon live in tall grass!” The older man said. It was Professor Oak. She had known him all of her life. He was a friendly enough man who was passionate about Pokémon. “You need your own Pokémon for your protection.”
“Well I went to your lab but you weren’t there, and then I looked around for you but I couldn’t find you.” Tammy tried to explain.
“I’m sorry about that. I had some pressing work I needed to get done. Here, come with me.” With that he led her over to his lab, bringing her inside and back to where his grandson Gary had been waiting.
“Gramps! I’m fed up with waiting!” The boy snapped.
“Gary? Let me think…oh that’s right, I told you to come! Just wait! Here Tammy. There are three Pokémon here.” Gary rolled his eyes as Tammy looked at the three balls excitedly. She could hardly hear the words Oak was saying. “The Pokémon are held inside these Poké Balls. When I was young, I was a serious Pokémon Trainer. But now in my old age, I have only these three left.”
Tammy frowned and looked up at him. “Um…but I thought you do this a lot. I mean, hand out Pokémon to kids. I see them come here all the time.”
Oak looked a little shift eye for a moment. “Well…um…these are my last three! You can have one. Go on, choose!” Tammy looked at him rather suspiciously. Why did she feel he said this to every kid that came in here? But that was hardly important. What mattered was the Pokémon. Which one did she want? She loved them all! How could she pick between three wonderful Pokémon.
“Hey! Gramps! No fair! What about me?” Gary snapped angrily. “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting here?”
“Be patient, Gary. You can have on too!” Oak sighed.
Tammy looked at the three balls. Which one? Well...perhaps she would let fate decide. Taking a deep breath she picked one at random, the ball on the far right. “Ok…come on out!” She said happily, opening the ball. A bright red light shot out, reviling her new partner…
