"Sometimes you feel you're a little sad

You need some joy and you feel like having fun"

Haruhi Fujioka was prosecuting a corporate espionage case. It was nowhere near as glamorous as it sounded. Running on her three morning cups of coffee (there would be three more in the afternoon of course) and about six hours of sleep, she was not entirely there - but she didn't need to be. The work had been done already, and done to death. She'd worked through the last three weeks, weekends included, studying cases similar to this one and making copious notes. She couldn't honestly remember the last time she'd had a day completely to herself. She tiredly listened to each of the defense's arguments, flipped to the page in her notes where she had notated her references for the anticipated argument, and made her rebuttal. It seemed like noon would never come. Finally it did, though, and the court broke for lunch. Haruhi stepped out into the harsh sunlight, scanning her memory of this particular courthouse's location for any likely places to eat and get some decent coffee…

"You are so blue but ain't time for that

You look around and the world is turning black"

Kyoya Ootori sat in his office - it was dark, though it didn't need to be, he'd just never bothered turning the lights on or opening the blinds. Such things were not terribly important to him. He paged through his company's files diligently. He had people for that, of course, but there was the problem - everyone expected the owner to be oblivious to the workings of his own company, as if he were above such things - and that expectation led to certain cavalier accounting practices that Kyoya simply could not allow. It was important to have a feel for the inner workings of his company, just like a good gardener would know if there were worms gnawing at the roots of his flowers, even though the part above the ground might look perfectly healthy.

"Heyo, heyo, everybody sing this song

Heyo, heyo, everybody sing along"

Having ascertained that all was well within reason, at least for the moment, Kyoya let his thoughts drift to Haruhi… ah, Haruhi… he thought of the frightful blunder he'd almost made with her in high school, how they had laughed about it years later, the idea of Kyoya risking everything to try to take something that he did not know was already his…

Haruhi understood Kyoya, but she'd understood them all in the host club. No, understanding was not what made their marriage wonderful - it was that they offset each other so perfectly. Their personalities created a balance, a harmony, that made life worth living. The money, the daily grind they both slaved at, it was all for each other. It was all for the great love that had bloomed between them.

Kyoya would never voice such sentimental thoughts - but there was something else he would do without hesitation. Yes, it was just about noon, and his wife was not too far away in the county courthouse. She'd just have gotten out for lunch, and she should have about an hour. Kyoya stepped out of his gloomy dark office and dialed her cell number...

"Baby, it's time to call me baby

You call me I'll be ready"

Haruhi picked up immediately. "Hi, stranger!"

"Meet me in the garage at 5th and Anselm Street, Sector 7G" her husband's voice came over the phone, blunt and to the point.

She had an idea of what was coming, and a pretty blush garnished her cheeks as she hurried down the street to see if she was right.

"You touch me like your lady

and bang, bang, baby!"

Sector 7G turned out to be rather a shadowy area in the back of the ground floor in the parking garage. It was full up with parked cars, which only made it that much more shadowy. Haruhi chuckled at her husband's odd tastes in meeting places, but a bolt of excitement went through her as well. Oh, he had odd tastes, alright…

She heard a step on the concrete floor and noticed a familiar glint of light off Kyoya's eyeglasses. He advanced on her and backed her up to the waist-height wall that divided the parking area from the staircase.

"Hi."

"Hi."

"Rough day?"

"Isn't it always?"

"Fuck me?"

"Hell, yes."

Roughly, he pushed her gray skirt up around her waist and tugged down her panties. She turned around and bent over the dividing wall to allow him easier access. His cock was up against her entrance in moments. He rubbed against her underneath, stimulating her clit and making her moan, then he plunged into her, grabbing her hips and hauling her up against him as he thrust in repeatedly, effortlessly finding her G-spot. "Kyoya… oh… shit… yeeeeaaaah!" Haruhi reached orgasm quick and hard, and her man was not far behind her, releasing his hot juice inside of her with a sudden muted groan of pleasure.

Haruhi laughed a little as she smoothed down her skirt. "So you are capable of making noise during sex, after all."

Kyoya calmly fastened his belt back up. "I don't know why people make so much of things like that. The noises women make are patently fake anyhow."

"Oh, honey, you always know how to make a girl feel loved. Lunch?"

"If you have time. There's a place next door that's reasonable."

"Ooh, high praise…"

As the two walked out of the garage side by side, exchanging friendly banter, the daily grind seemed less oppressive, the sun seemed more friendly than harsh, and life just had a little bit more.. bang to it.

A/N: This is purely based off the anime (if you couldn't tell) where nothing is really concluded about the characters' future lives or who ends up with whom. I got very sad when I found out Hatori almost cut Kyoya out of the manga, because honestly he is hands-down my favorite character. "Bang Bang Baby" is a frothy nothing of a song which really doesn't fit with these characters, but I liked the idea of two serious, hard-working characters, who would never make a habit of pursuing the type of hedonism the song represents, just cutting loose and taking a break now and then for pure pleasure. I think they deserve it. Hope you enjoyed my fic!
