Reviews for Devilish Impulses

Pretty good. I still feel as though you're not breaking character of Ciel, and your Sebastian is pretty dead on. I'm curious how Ciel is going to reconcile this new place Sebastian is in. What about his obligations to the rest of the world? Lizzie? The Queen (though it looks like he's being carted off that now). Side point: How will Agni react to this? He seems to have protective instincts towards the Phantomhive earl, and super sensory capabilities.

He acts wise beyond his years, as demonstrated from the last chapter, and he seems to think he's ready for what he's encountering. I'm curious about the progression of the story, and honestly, I may lose interest if it becomes all about relationships. I don't know how true to canon things can stay if they run about domesticity. I'm a plot and action sort of girl, I suppose.

    Well done.

Yup, still love this story! :D This was a really cute chapter, but I'm most curious about the same things that Ciel is: are Carsten and his former master still threats? I imagine so, although who knows? But it seems like Ciel and Sebastian aren't out of the woods yet, especially because we haven't found out the repercussions of Ciel's little accident, on himself or Sebastian, or their relationship in general.

Ciel hasn't really addressed this fully in several chapters, but it seems as though lately he's sort of abandoned his steadfast desire to die as soon as possible. His comment at the end of the previous chapter about how humans have limited time (SO SAD!) made it sound as if he was lamenting that he did not have more time to spend with Sebastian. Luckily, Sebastian's plan to get him in good with the prince will make his future brighter, but if he truly wishes to have a long-term future with Sebastian, than what will Ciel do about Lizzie? A relatively cliche problem to deal with, within the fandom, but probably because it's always going to be a dilemma. Granted, I could easily be getting ahead of myself here! There's not enough evidence to really know what will become of Ciel and his devil at this point.

Sebastian's newfound gentleness hasn't stopped him from maintaining his more playful, mocking side, which I like! I can't wait to see what these two do next! :)

Ahh, finally we get to the 'action' that I was so worried about. And you know what, it didn't creep me out. I admit, I was kind of looking forward to guilt-ridden!Sebastian, but mature, rational Ciel was just as satisfying. Also, thank you for answering my question! I really hadn't expected that.
On that note, since you mentioned how big of a stickler you are for perfection, I recall that during the chapter when Lizzie is kidnapped, I think you state that she's a year younger than Ciel. However, in a somewhat-recent chapter of the manga, Lizzie says herself that she's a year OLDER than Ciel. I thought I'd mention this because, so far --and other than that statement-- this story might as well be canon. You're that damn convincing.
Cannot wait for next Wednesday; it is officially my favorite day of the week this summer.

This is one of my alltime favourite kuroshitsuji/blackbutler fanfics ever. Your writing style is extremely understandable (must be from all the revisions when you check over your work) also, there are very few spelling or grammer mistakes to speak of. Keep up the great work, I'll definitly keep on reading ^^.

Humans have so little time.... indeed, little Phantomhive, indeed.

I'm rather torn on this, whether or not it's going into the hammy "take me butler!" route, or if it's a natural progression. Of all nights for Ciel to ah, spring, this is what beholds it? Uh. I'll trust you.

I still enjoyed their banter with one another about roles and positions, and the brief mention about Ciel's father.

Did Ciel carry something with him over from the dark side? If he's able to sense energies and other little hintings...

MR got her glasses! Yay! WIll this just make her a worse maid : 3

    Looking forward to it!

Wonderful! Chapter nineteen is by far my favorite chapter! It was just perfect. I love how Sebastian talks to Ciel even when the boy's unconscious. It's cute and also kind of funny in this dire situation. Didn't expect Carston to get free of Ambrose's control. What's going to happen to Ambrose now? Will Carston kill him, or will he regain control over the demon? Oh, and we get to hear what Sebastian thinks of Ciel. Very nice. The list made me think and it's a good description. Sebastian Prays?? Wow. Didn't see that one coming. But very poignant. Almost made me cry. I'm so glad they made it out. What a horrible place to end a chapter, though. Glad I've read the next one. As for chapter twenty, I could Feel Sebastian's relief when the vicar was able to save Ciel. So happy that Ciel is still himself! I couldn't imagine him any other way ... although, it would be rather interesting. So many unexpected actions! Not that it's a bad thing, I rather like it, and considering what has happened between them they are still very much in character. The banter in the driver's seat between them was fun to read. And then they held hands! So cute! I'm happy Ciel is starting to cave to Sebastian's affections. Hope their relationship continues to develope! Thanks so much for the updates, and sorry it took me a while to review. Looking forward to the next chapter! Keep up the good work.

On the one hand, I am surprised and maybe a little disappointed at how easy it was for Jarvis to releave Ciel of his stupor. On the other hand, I am overjoyed to see that dispite the current issue being solved, the story is not done!

    .....YAAAAAY

The only other thing I have to say that I haven't already told you before is: just how do you keep your grammar and spelling so perfect over such long chapters? Most writers --including myself, when I do write-- seem to run out of self-correcting steam after a certain amount of continuous typing. Also, how to you ever manage to keep track of all the little details when there are multiple plot threads being made at once? My ears are open for any advice you may have for other writers because, clearly, you know what you're doing.

    Well done, Chapter 20.

I would be most interested to see how this goes along. Does Carsten come for revenge? Very excellent recovery for Ciel and Sebastian. Stay true to character, DGL, stay true! You've held the course amazingly!

I am enjoying your story lots!, Sometimes I find the plot to be just a smidge slow, but I do love it all the same. I love how reading it is like watching an episode and not just "here lets have lots of smut!" I find Sebastian's fantasy's of Ceil to be the best, when he was sick in bed, I loved it. I cant wait for more, to know if Ceil will make it or not, I am dying to know! Please update soon and keep up the good work. This one is an absolute delight to read!

Your story is fabulous. I couldn't stop reading it. I least to me it was spellbinding. You have captured the characters perfectly and your style is excellent in shaping the tone of the Victorian era. Please, please continue it to what every conclusion it comes to, however long that may take. Thank you for all your work till now.

I have been reading this story from the very beginning and I check every day for updates. This last chapter... with Ciel sacrificing himself for Sebastian was so sad. I can't wait to read what happens next, but for now I am going to shed a few tears. I love Sebastian showing that emotion when Ciel did what he did and I love how Ciel even though mad at Sebastian for his little bit of fun time seemed to realized he cared a bit more about Sebastian than to turn him into a mindless slave.

I like this chapter. There were elements that I had expected to happen and others that I hadn't. I am more intrigued by Carsten, now, in part because he has turned out to be something I did not expect. I am somewhat eager, though, to see the possibility of Ciel having two demons under his control. I must say, though, I completely was not expecting the dimensional warp there at the end! Also, nice job with the historical research, again.

    18:

OMG. Wow, we're really getting back to the occult roots of the series, aren't we? I'm flabbegasted that this is how the story has come to an end (maybe). What more is there? Ciel can't possibly survive in a demon world (where I assume they went). Will Ciel even survive the injuries? He's not exactly known for his robust health. Are you going to go back and end your story much the same way as the second series ended it?

    Other notes:

Mama Easton is a cold-hearted menace, who wanted to go out in style.

Poor glasses, never to be given to the maid.

    Loved the attentive Baldroy mention.
