"No, I'm sorry." Seira started to speak while in Eimi's arms and Eimi listened to her panicky words as she slept. "No, I didn't ask for it. Please, let me stay." Seira whimpered as she dreamed about the church knowing about her rape and being disgusted with her because of her not being a virgin anymore. "I'll do anything. I'll be your ragdoll, but please don't..." Seira's words became inaudible as Eimi stared down at the child, wide-eyed. Holy shit, she's scarred to the point that just the thought of being kicked out is traumatizing to her. Eimi thought as she now knew that church knowing about Seira's rape would scare her extremely so.
Eimi hugged Seira close to her to calm her down. She probably heard me talking to Meimi about it. I will have to tread carefully now. She thought as she kept Seira in her arms. When Meimi came back into the house, she wasn't no where near stopping being angry, but seeing Seira so scared humbled her to the point where she just looked tired. She slowly walked towards the bed as to not wake up her best friend. Eimi had kept her husband asleep by placing earbuds in his ears, but he was already a heavy sleeper. "Get up here." Eimi spoke to Meimi.
"Of course." She answered back very quickly. Meimi crawled up onto the bed and Eimi gently pushed Seira into Meimi's lap and Meimi played with the girl's soft brown hair. She wanted to talk to her, but she also knew that Seira would be frightened to socialize for a little while. I will protect you. Meimi swore to Seira as she hugged her head closer to her body. Eimi let Meimi steal her best friend from her so she could cuddle with the girl. Meimi knew that Seira was highly affectionate when she was frightened, despite her body instinctly moving away from the warmth.
In the days that followed, Seira became a mute, only speaking when asked a question. Giving advice became Meimi's forte, but she longed for the day that Seira starts back giving advice. "Seira." Meimi softly called out to her best friend, who was beginning to think about the past once again.
"Huh?" Seira finally answering Meimi saved Seira from regressing back into seeing the memories of her rape. "Yes?" She called out to Meimi to show her that she was trying to listen to her. Meimi smiled at how hard Seira was trying. She's trying hard, but I know she can't stop thinking about it. Meimi thought as she grinned at Seira.
"Do you want to go out for ice cream?" Meimi's very innocent question made Seira give her a very innocent smile.
"Sure." She answered back with a grin on her face. Meimi grinned back as she wanted to make Seira happy.
The two best friends went outside of the church in order to find the ice cream shop. When they had finally found it, Meimi ordered two vanilla mixed with chocolate ice cream cones. As they waited on their ice cream, Meimi secretly snuck glances at Seira to see her smiling softly. It wasn't a wide smile, but it was a smile regardless.
When they got their ice cream, they happily ate it while they spoke to one another. When they were done and satified, they sat there, just making conversation. It was when they wanted to leave when something happened.
"Can I get a strawberry ice cream cone?" That very similiar voice gave Seira the creeps as she started to remember the rape once again. Why? Why is she here now? She thought as she cried not to cry in a very public ice cream shop. Meimi noticed her very obvious distress, but she couldn't do anything about as someone approached them. "Hello, there." That same chilling voice that had made Seira remember that very bad memory made her look up at the person and she jumped.
