    (27) Oh you are a wicked creature ;) but how much do I love Katze here, he had to know that Raoul would react emotionally but loved how in control he remained (even if it was just for show). So I'm thinking that this could go one of two ways, the obvious one where Raoul kills him ;) or the other where he decides to remind Katze of just who he belongs to *ponders* There's always a third, 'EP's Choice' but honestly I don't think it'll matter which one it is because it's definitely going to be good - I can't wait!^^

It really has been a long time that Raoul and Katze have been doing this dance, how in the world have they managed not to jump each others bones long before this ;) You also get to see how far back all of this grand scheme of Niiro's must have gone and isn't it interesting to find out that not only did Raoul know about the experiments but actively helped in the breaking of the rules. Seems Raoul has always been a bit of a rebel. And the first ones DNA was actually left on Amoi, I wonder how/why that came about?

With Niiro though it seems to be all about the shock value and show with him and knowing that only he knows truly what Katze is (yes Raoul must suspect something). I can see him relishing in the idea that everyone and specifically Iason have treated Katze as a servant and when he reveals who Katze truly is or what he represents they will be shocked to realize that this person they thought so beneath their notice is actually so far above them (in a manner of speaking). I'm assuming that goes to the chapter title, this will turn everything they believe upside-down and start them down a very different path. Whether I've got that right or not this is definitely quite the scheme you've got going here, I do love a story with a great plot ^_^

Last couple little things, I love that the First One was a woman, of course she somehow managed to create a world even more dominated by men than I think ours ever was, I'm guessing that was not her intention. And the other thing that stood out was that out of all of them it was Donovan who almost created an international incident, it seems no one is able to stay out of trouble.^^

I can see why you liked this chapter, it was rather good and the next one is going to be just as good I can tell :) Hope you have a great week.^^

I was a little confused at first. It took me a moment to realize you were going back to when Katze and Raoul first became bound to each other. But that is an evil cliffie, jealous blondie is never good. Sheleeta

Surprisingly enough, now that we’ve been given a bit of history on how Katze and Raoul met, I find I’m saddened by what I’ve discovered. Because at that point in time, where Raoul first see’s the young Furniture, he sees a boy of Summer and Light. And yet somewhere along the line the boy vanished and in his place is a man of Autumn, almost Winter, in fact, who lives in shadows and clings to the darkness. A man who is known for being cold and collected amongst his underlings and peers. Even the enjoyments are now done in shadows. Surely there has to be more here than Iason, the scar and then sending him out to control the Black Market to destroy the boy so completely. But perhaps that is another tale..

Getting back to this one, I am not surprised that there is a resemblance between Katze and Katzen. I don’t think anyone is. However, I think Raoul is barking up the wrong tree. I don’t think Niiro had a hand in this. It wouldn’t surprise me if Katze’s people, have kept their ‘history’ alive in stories that have grown into myth. Legends that have a basis of truth behind them. Which would explain why Katze has gone back to Guardian to check out old records. That little fact, was thrown into the mix a few chapters back. A small remark by Raoul, I think, but it now makes sense. It would seem the Man of Autumn still has the same curiosity and perhaps more determination and nerve than the boy of Summer to discover his origins. Katze would be a decendent, and Niiro would have realized this straight away, and taken away some samples to compare to the ones that Raoul had gotten for him. However, Raoul is nonplussed as he assumes that all Mongrels are thick as bricks as well as uneducated. I would guess again whoever had a hand in raising Katze also belonged to a group that still kept learning alive. Rather like certain groups today who go to ‘secret’ schools to learn basic skills such as reading and writing because they are not allowed to have this knowledge freely.

Raoul has been thrown for a loop, because what he sees doesn’t fit his belief system. Hence the need to go into full Blondie mode and put the Furniture back in his place. And let’s make it clear here, yes Raoul is attracted to the physical beauty of the young Furniture, but if that’s all it was, then once scarred the interest would have died. Raoul is attracted to the mind within. Right from the beginning, he has tried to understand what is going on in Katze’s head.

But for the moment lets return to the present. Niiro confirms that Raoul has always been interested in the ‘defective specimen’ and I am sure that means he has always been waiting on the sidelines, steaming away as his ‘intelligence and beauty’ is ignored for a common furniture. Of course the ‘fun’ is about to begin as he points out, that this regard doesn’t seem to be returned, sending Raoul on the hunt.

Yes, for a split second, the truth of what happened is before Raoul and with a few choice words, we are told to stay tuned....same bat time, same bat channel to see what happens next. Hope you won’t keep us waiting to long....:)

Holy Crap? That's an understatement! Katze, you are in trouble! Run, baby, run! Shit, you brought it on yourself, b**ch!

You are evil, truly evil, for leaving us like this, but I guess this is the way the cookie crumbles ;) I bet I will not be the only one almost screaming at the screen, right this moment. You have a gift, lady!

On the other hand, I was really happy to see Niiro's girl stopped in her tracks, just when she was about to catch Guy. Donovan was on his way, uh, I guess he was no longer wishing to admire the woman's breasts, seeing his lover was on the line for her mischief.

It was lovely how you took us back in the days, when Raoul and Katze met, especially since I loved (and expected) Raoul to be attracted by Katze a very long time ago. Katze is one hell of a guy, even then, a castrate and a teenager, he still had his own thoughts and dreams, and, I guess, despite everything, this is what makes Raoul so hot under the collar. That, and the narcissistic tendency of the Blondie to be genuinely admired and desired, something that Katze does not know how to hide, even conscious of his position as Furniture.

So, he was reading Mom's books? That makes me wonder ... Does Katze have any clue about his own provenience? Did his sharp mind see behind the veil of smoke covering his eyes? Raoul knows, or at least suspects, right from the start, which makes for at least part of the appeal.

I've just realized that I forgot to comment on something from the previous chapter, and maybe it's something that no one commented on. Raoul realizes that Katze and him are from two different worlds, when the dealer has to stay away from the party, because of his position in society. How is Raoul gonna make this work? He may love Katze, but he's not like him, at least not in the eyes of others. On the other hand, Sir Niiro is on the same level, something that the others will have more reasons to accept. Not that Raoul will bend over for the sake of others, but he's still Elite, right?

"She gave us Amoi." Katze says, and despite the Elite POV, this is the truth.

Until next time, dear author, have a nice life!

    (26) Katze you silly boy, you may live to regret that I would think. I wouldn’t say that I’m upset per say… alright maybe a smidge but I’m definitely disappointed by the turn of events with Katze.

It’s easy to see just how affected Katze is by all this since normally I would think he’s much too disciplined to be getting drunk at such an important event. I’m guessing getting him drunk was key to him giving in to Admon’s advances. And I have to wonder, if Katze has already made a connection with Raoul than I don’t see how this is going to help Admon besides just getting one over on the Blondie and the hope Katze may actually look at him and not just use him as a substitute.

I can’t help but think that if Admon hadn’t purposely seduced Katze I would almost feel sorry for him having to be part of Niiro’s ‘diabolical master plan’ because he doesn’t seem to be getting anything out of it. Even Niiro doesn’t pay him much mind, he’s in effect disposable, not a very nice existence.

I wonder if Katze is feeling a little nostalgic for the days when he could just hide in the shadows and conduct his business unnoticed and without much thought to what was going on down in the elite mob. Maybe living an outside existence wasn’t so bad, there’s no going back though I think Raoul will see to that.

Finally we get Raoul and Niiro meeting again and Raoul is in a downright nasty mood, brings out the bitch that’s for sure. Although I think I find it a little too early to really tell what the impact of this meeting is going to be. Is Niiro just playing with Raoul to meet his own ends (whatever they may be) because at this point he doesn’t struck me as someone who is very sentimental about relationships. I think he's using Raoul and it has something to do with the whole 'Chosen One', I can't wait to find out more because I have all kinds of ideas running through my mind but it'll be interesting to find out for sure ^_^

Normally I would think that Anja’s little scheme would work since anything that plays to Guy’s ego would definitely get his attention but considering how jealous and possessive Guy is I can’t imagine him being interested in Anja, he’s too distracted by Donovan right now. (run-on sentence much *rolls eyes*)

You know I thought I didn’t have much to say about this chapter and then I start typing and it’s like I can’t stop but I have to stop because Criminal Minds is on :) Another fabulous chapter in this amazing story ^_^

PS - i haven't had a chance yet but at some point i look forward to checking out your website, there aren't nearly enough hours in the day to get to everything :)

Holy shit talk about a reread lol. This doesnt look like it will end well for Katze considering how possessively Raoul has treated Katze so far. Raoul is so not going to be happy at all.

Poor Katze has given up and even sloshed he knows its wrong but to me its just like sleeping with Admon was showing that it was over between them even though Raoul had made it clear (well for me anyway) that it wasn't.

And i must say that i am very interested how Admon's twin tries to handle Guy and Donny boy's reaction in seeing that his lover is getting hit on.

I'm going to waiting on pins and needles for the next update! Thanks for the great read! SH

This reminds me of a story I used to listen when I was a kid. It was actually an adaptation for children after "Princess Turandot", and I remember the prince saying, before the cold-hearted princess: "And now, when I was about to be happy, I witness the storm breaking loose". I guess the English version is more poetic, but I just translated the words as they were in my Native language.

Katze here ... oh, it breaks my heart, but I cannot say that I do not understand him. After all, he does not see that Raoul does not give in to Sir Niiro's advances, and he draws the conclusions while concentrating on his own hurt, rather on facts. Admon would be a sore loser, that's for sure, so, in the end, depending on Raoul's reaction, he can still cause serious damage to our dear lovers' relationship. It will be hard for Katze to explain why possessed him to take Admon like that, and I'm not certain that Katze simply saying to Raoul: "You know, baby, I just couldn't cum until I imagined you being fucked by me..."

Barrie18 is right, that was a hate fuck. (I don't know if the term truly exists, but I learnt it from 'Californication', so it stays. :)) How Katze would feel after all that, it is up to you to tell us during the next episode. I bet he will not feel that good, after all, he is partially aware of the fact the Admon is seducing him, and he knows this practically should not mean anything. But Raoul will be hurt, oh, I can feel it in my gut, he will be so hurt, that I don't what he'll do. He hates Admon, no, he is practically repulsed by the android, and he will see red in front of his eyes when he learns about this. Oh, Katze, baby, what have you done?

The android girl should be aware that Guy is not so easy to manipulate. After all, he is quite of paranoid, and I don't buy it that he would fall prey to her graces, just because she's showing a little cleavage. The man is smart, this is just my opinion of it, or simply, it is just wishful thinking, and I want to see her fail.

Will you tell us next time what exactly happened between Raoul and Niiro in the distant past?

I cannot wait for your next installment. Have a nice life, dear author!

EP, have loved all of the chapters that you have written, I needed to see what was going to happen with the elicit relationship of Raoul & Katze . Now I am absolutely hating Admon, Niiro, and that female Admon. I can't believe that Katze allowed himself to be seduced like that although I did like the fact that Katze was dreaming about banging Raoul's back out. I really loved that he couldn't come until his mind had completely replaced Admon with the sexy Blondie. Now I have a few questions. What happened to Riki? I know he was hurt in the beginning of the story, and close to the middle Raoul had to treat his injuries caused by a sexual session gone wrong. And why does Niiro want Guy? Nobody accept Katze's bodyguard wants him, hes icky and rude, so what make him special? Why didn't Raoul leave Niiro where he was and go to Katze like he wanted to? He new that Niiro was up to something and if he really had issues with Niiro touching him why didn't he tell him instead of "subtly" pushing him away? He has so much to say when its Katze, but nothing about Niiro? This is so upsetting, but its also addicting. I look forward to your next chapter.

Well it happened as promised/predicted....Happy about it...no, but necessary ....sadly yes.

So lets start with the 'seduction'. . . well really when you come down to it, Admon may have struck a few cords, but it was only when he 'attacked' did he get the response he wanted.....but then again, it wasn't the response he wanted. If he wanted to put it bluntly , to be 'fucked' with in an inch of his life, well he achieved that. But if he was looking for an emotional connection....he failed miserably. I just wonder while all this took place, did our little empath come to realize what was playing in Katze's mind at that moment of completion. That it was Raoul Katze's mind was 'fucking' and not him. And I use that word for a very good reason again. This was done in an act of anger. Katze for all he tries to separate himself from his feelings for Raoul, shows here the possessiveness that he would never show if sober , no matter how hurt/anger he is feeling.

So no sweet kisses, or gentle caresses at the end of this (I hope). It doesn't call for it. If anything, I would expect, the mongrel to be shocked by what he did and felt and send the Karinese on his way. . . another rejection for Admon....

Ajna....I would like to think that she too is too cock sure of herself. Oh yes, as stated before, cleverer than her brother, but I would like to think that Guy will play the game to a point before setting her back in her place. I think what everyone here has failed to realize or take into account is what emotions can do. . . Yes Katze 'fucked' in anger....but Guy is in an honest relationship with Donovan, and that already puts up one barrier to her manipulations. Erratic yes, but no fool either our Bison boy.

Raoul.....well if he hadn't been distracted by Niiro things would have been played out differently. But once again I believe my little theory is being confirmed. Niiro is coming on strong with his traveling hands and our Blondie, moves out of reach.

But what is more important is the thought that goes through Raoul's mind...."The mistakes of a curious youth would not be repeated."

This does not sound like someone pushing away a former loved one. This is a man who did an act, perhaps to prove something to himself, because at that point he couldn't have what he really wanted and this was his only solution.

In some ways, I would imagine that past act done with 'emotion' was a reverse mirror image of what just took place in that room upstairs. With Raoul looking into amber eyes (remember Niiro did change his eye colour....must have an a good reason besides fashion) and seeing a 'Furniture' under him instead of an Elite.

Now the only question is what next. Raoul will find out. He will see it in seconds the minute Admon leaves that room.

I can't believe he will fall into Niiro's waiting arms. But I do believe that the next conversation he would have with Katze would be a most enlightening one. Perhaps...this time a few plain truths might come out of one of them in a language they can both understand.

Don't think Niiro will cope well with rejection though, and will probably be self centered enough to blame Admon for this turn of events rather than accept that he himself is not wanted. Probably leading him to esculate what ever is going on in that head of his, out of frustration and to prove that he is the genius, the better man, better creator etc etc.

So I will now sit back and wait to see what happens next... and I am selfish enough to say, I hope it's not too long a wait. :)

    (25) Really did Deek actually think Katze would just let it go, he should count himself lucky this is as far as Katze's taking things, for now. A threat is the least of his worries. And is it just me or do you have a thing for older furniture because Deek comes across as older and I generally think of them as young men 18-25yrs, obviously they can be older the longer a Blondie keeps them. Katze I could understand why he would have an older furniture but Raoul seems a little unusual. I'm wondering if it's a way of having a witness to things that have happened and knows Raoul's history.

Couldn't help but notice the difference in personality between Admon and Anja, not entirely surprising considering their different experiences. Admon could pass for human, Anja on the other hand certainly comes across as more machine but that could also just be how she acts when around Niiro. I suppose part of it could be that Admon has had to function and think independently but we did see a bit of boundary pushing by Anja and I certainly don't think she's as docile as she first appears.

Seems that Niiro delved into science mumbo-jumbo a bit, I think I get the gist of what he was saying but I have to wonder why it is the elite can't just say what they mean instead of elaborate explanations. Actually with all this talk of history and DNA it reminded me of a question I had earlier in the story when you talked of Mr&Mrs Wolf, how old is Amoi? Do we know or have any idea of how many generations have passed since the Wolf's time. I don't remember ever reading about that but it would be interesting to know :) Interesting how Raoul and Niiro still know each other fairly well considering they haven't seen each other in awhile. I'm guessing Raoul is the one who's changed the most, I think Niiro's going to be in for a surprise when they meet again. (nii-nii *snicker*)^^

I can understand why Katze acts the way he does, he's trying to protect himself but Raoul's constant need to poke and prod the poor boy is just mean (he's like a 8yr old with a crush). Obviously there's more to it than a need to torture and hopefully Katze will soon realize that :) And at the very least getting a hot elevator makeout session has got to put you in a good mood ;)

“I never lose, Katze of Ceres, remember that.”- I'm sure that's what all the elites think but let's hope Raoul's luck holds out.^^

Last couple of things, kisses for Donovan simply for being all kinds of awesome, too bad Katze's going to kill him the minute he gets his hands on him and poor Kato he has no idea it's his last day on Amoi *giggles* flustered Katze is a rather fun Katze ^_^ Excellent chapter and nice and long too :) I'm glad I finally got this review in, it's only taken me a week to find the time at least I managed before you got out the next chapter ^_^

Hope you're having a great weekend hun, looking forward to the next update :)

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! That was so funny! The elevator scene, I mean! But hot as hell, too! I really like that Raoul is not giving up, although Katze still sees himself as a substitute for Sir Niiro, when, clearly, it is exactly the other way around.

Donovan was great, pulling at his boss' chain, with that stunt. Guy is ... Guy, and, as barrie18 says, I hope his feelings for D will keep him away from harm.

It was gut wrenching to see Katze so down about what he thinks it's goodbye. While I'm scared about the game Sir Niiro and Admon will set in place, I'm so glad our dear redhead is so wrong. And, that was sooooo hot, how he noticed Raoul being so attractive in his getup, but feeling jealous, 'cause he thinks his Blondie got so dressed up for his encounter with Sir Niiro. I bet Raoul can only think about how to make Katze more mad about him, if that could be possible.

I'm going to re-read this right now, it's just too good it deserves seconds!
